I think the only people who don’t get that sitting Yandle was a bad move are limited to this board. The decision to end the streak should have came earlier in the season when the playoffs were still in reach. Since that didn’t happen, the streak should have ended at the end of this season along with his current contact and career.

If they were gonna take a stand against the streak, they should have done it months ago when the games mattered, not wait until now. He wasn't blocking Attard from playing. There's no reason to do it now, it's not even symbolic.

Yands is a class act off the ice, he's loved by everybody who's around him, the players, the staff, the arena people. He's the kind of guy who learns everybody's name, and takes a min out of his day to joke around with you, no matter if you're the team owner or the guy who picks up the towels off the floor.

He doesn't deserve to play a lot of minutes, but he does deserve to have his career accomplishment respected. It's not like he signed himself to the team. They knew exactly what it meant.

Should have let Yandle finish the streak. At this point the games just don’t matter and really makes the organ-I-zation look even worse.
