Some are assuming this happened because of some previous play. Like wow. These morons think you make a nice play early in a game you are untouchable for the remainder of the season.

I wouldn't support a crosscheck or punch to the back of the head like we've seen in the past sometimes... Beagle give it to him mid body. A 2 min call... and worth every second of it.

They may very well keep Miller but then what, trade him for a much smaller return or let him walk if they are a bubble team at the deadline again? Who knows I guess. We can only guess what management will do at this point. Not much to base a prediction on.

I don't think the offers were great TBH. I think if there was a knock your socks off offer on the table the deal would have been done already. I don't see any team excited to jump in and give Miller 5 x 7.5 including Canucks. The cap has some real restraints for at least half the league.

Yet Beagle, a plug who no one comes to the rink to see play beats up a star player and it's fine because you shouldn't mess with the bull.

Well ambushing an attacker isn't instigating it. There's no squaring of in a scrum over goalie contact and a player being crosschecked for it... it's a free for all historically. Having been in over 150 fights, I know you don't sit there and wonder if these people rushing you intend no harm when the situation has already gotten aggressive.

What picture is that? Players should avoid making nice plays to not get their face punched in? To not engage physically at all for fear of being battered and bruised by some plug who sucks at hockey? That would make some great hockey. NOPE.
