Not even bubble Demko would have stopped that Faulk goal. Terrible shift by the Flames there. I’m sure they got an ear full.

I don't share your thinking on gutting the team. They just need the right players. Not more of Benning just randoms, that never fit together. Rutherford did a real good job of finding players for Crosby and Malkin.

When I say gutting I don't mean Petey Hughes Demko Podz . I am thinking more of Myers Highmore Pearson Brock Dikie Dermott Hunt Chiasson Petan and maybe even OEL .

Half of those would have been pushed out at training camp. A few players will have to go. A direction will have to be made. I could care less which one they go, just can't have the same again next season.

Doesn’t help that I’d rather poke myself in the eye with a sharpened stick than see the flames win.

If me my translation is Dlckinson & Poolman dumped & Boeser traded. Now that’s a good start. We can replace them all cheaper. Tbh all 3 have not had much of an impact if at all. Martin a cheaper back up option.

After that’s done some smart key short term UFA’s.

I can live with running out Miller Petey Bo & Lammikko as C’s.

Top 9 wingers with Boeser gone needs a couple adds & why I like Kane along with another big skating UFA.

With the pens connection odds are pretty high we see some pens coming to van either by trade or signings, let’s see.

Spring cleaning goin on….

Finished washing down a 15’x100’ asphalt driveway of winter salt & sand. Did the porch. Started on the gas BBQ. Then wash the 12’x40’ deck. Ready it for deck furniture.

Mild & peaceful night so may as well.

I think aĺl of the guys you mentioned are on the block as well as Miller. I think we will see a major shake, possibly Bo too. I think they will be seriously thinking of trading anyone to create space.

They’ll keep at least 2 top C’s.
Resign Lammikko a good bet.
Miller only for a huge haul

The reason I think both Bo and Miller will still be here next year is mainly cap. Not only Canucks but a lot of teams will feel the crunch. I don't think a lot of teams are giving up a lot of prospects that are cost controlled for the next few years . They may give up a first and third like the Toffoli deal but not giving up players that are producing.

I think if they were the deal would have been done already. Next you have to replace Bo or Miller and they are on very good deals cap wise next year. The cap wont see significant increase for two more years , when the players have paid back the debt ,according to Pierre Lebrun.

I don't think there will be a lot of big names moved next year on the Canucks and will be pretty much like this year.

This would be a good year to sign free agents. Some older but still producing that will take shorter, smaller contracts. No one with a lot of cap space. Teams that will want to compete will give up some futures to get someone like Miller.

At the end of Jr playoffs, teams will see what they have more in next years players plus what they like in the draft.

Agree with your statement for the most part however we don't have a Crosby/Malkin here to build around and FA won't allow a full teardown so building around Demko Petey Hughes it is. Gunslinger JR is known for good/bad deals when he gets his sights set on certain players. But agreed we just need to tweak it and find the right support. A RHD and a 3LC (right hand) would be a great start.

Poor KY-Man getting a little taste of Marky reality and there is much more to come.

Highly doubt Myers and Brock are going anywhere unless JR can fleece Minny on a deal if they want Brock that bad. The filler can go at anytime.

Every GM is known for good and bad deals.

I don't see how they role out the same 4 centers all lefties for next season. I wouldn't even want them too. They aren't very good on the PK.

Letang or Manson for the right side. I'd draft one if possible in the first. Would be nice to have a 2nd rounder.

Need players that will tell the kids to play the right way.

Minny has the Suter/Parise buyout hits. Fiala to resign so don’t expect Boeser going there.
