I also thought of Yushkevich because he was also tough as f* (although I think you may have already mentioned it in a previous thread and it resonated with me). He also had a pretty good slapshot and met Quinn's key criteria: He could make a solid outlet pass. I think Boosh has 10 assists this year, which is a career best for him. I'm not sure if he has the offensive "upside" (note: Yushkevich passed 30 points twice in his first two years with Philly, and then never again, so he wasn't exactly a dynamo!), but having a guy on the back-end who can make a smart pass, make a smart play, be in great supporting position, and erase people is something we desperately needed.

Have you watched women's tennis? That and table tennis beat baseball and golf all to hell. Golf, baseball, MMA, NASCAR...when alien archeologists dig up North America they'll either laugh or cry.

To say nothing of in gridiron the guys shoot themselves in the leg and take their clothes off on the field and get health advice from podcasters on acid. Which now that I write that sentence is all in favour of the NFL's entertainment value I guess.

And let's not get started on the inanity that is ice hockey.

One of the best to watch

There should be drunk sports. Like a decathalon where you have to do shooters constantly, and includes fighting. That would be amazing. Or nordic biathalon with tons of booze and drugs, and you shoot at each other. Basically televised warfare is what I'm looking for.

The best North American sports are skateboarding and snowboarding. The rest of them are basically a joke.

I am so ridiculously bad at volleyball. I can't even bump properly. That said, as a general fan of tall women, I have no problem with volleyball players. Alix Klineman (I had to go Google that one), who was in the US Beach Volleyball program, is a giant. I was channel surfing during the Summer Olympics and she and her partner hugged after a point and I thought April Ross (the partner) was a midget - she's 5'11. Klineman is 6'5.

I think as a species we're starting to get too tall for some sports!
