The thing is, you keep calling people that support the moves names. I fall into that category, so I feel justified in defending my stance. One thing with me, if you show respect for my views you'll get it in return. But keep calling my views dumb and slurpy and you'll get pushback. So, respectfully I'll move on. I hope you can do the same.

You know I respect your opinions. Don't think I include you with the other twits on here. I told you a long time ago on a DM collateral damage . I told you back then I respected you and nothing has changed.

Motte + Hamonic for Dermott + Richardson 4th

Two guys who have been healthy scratches and a 4th. These trades weren’t for the playoff race lol

- Nucker101

I don’t believe they are in a playoff race. I think you’re making a mole hill out of a smaller mole hill.

Edit - funny Lefty I hadn’t seen your post before typing this

That's cause we aren't in a playoff race.... cleared cap for next year got a young dman that is nhl caliber as a 5 or 6 for half price. Got a 4th for an expiring contract. How is anything wrong with any of this? These guys are going to clean up this entire organization from the way the players wipe their asses. I'm excited to see what JR and PA do

Just looking at the lineup, Burroughs is hurt and Poolman is on LTIR. So the move keeps them from icing Juulsen and Hunt at the same time.

I'm assuming they still want to push for the playoffs and they have some belief that Dermott can play a starting role here. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until Dermott plays himself out of the line up. And if he plays himself upward from 6, so much the better.

- micah555

There are 18 games left and very little chances of making the playoffs. Keep your pick and keep your cap space. I believe Poolman is ready to return but still on LTIR because of cap reasons. He has been skating and practicing.

Madison Bowey is also playing in Abby and scored his sixth of the year last game,

I’m with you, why not keep the third and play Juulsen….but whuddo I know.
- LeftCoaster

I have probably been Juulsen's biggest supporter here, but he isn't an NHL defenseman, he is depth for the farm and that is it.
Also, as I pointed out yesterday, Hamonic was moved to make capspace for the Dermott trade, if you weren't following along, it was pretty clear that Dermott was being sought after by the Canucks.
But, I do realize you have a hard time comprehending things, so I will take it easy on you, this time.

None of these player moves move the needle one way or the other IMO. The team is equally as good/bad as they were on Sunday but with a tiny slice more cap space next year and an extra pick the year after. The heavy lifting starts in June.

100%

You think it is good to have an extra draft pick and more cap room . I agree. Now imagine having double that cap room and double the picks . We were there yesterday and as you said we didn't move the needle one way or the other with the extra moves.

Might be a fun take as a fanboy, but I don't think that is how the club is meant to be looking at it.

LH over RH had something to do with it. Been playing RH Dmen on left side all year.

I am sort of surprised none of the playoff teams that need extra D were not calling the Leafs about Dermott. A lot of playoff teams needed more D .

Sure…but as I said, it’s hardly worth stressing over or even debating. I suspect there’ll be many more moves before the beginning of free agency when the cap is important again.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

Yesterday we had 3 mil in space and two extra picks today we don't .

We lost one pick , half the cap space , picked up a 6/7/8 Dman and a 37 year old waiver pick up . Paint it the way you want.

Not going to get into this again today but if you think its good , so be it. I don't . Nothing will change either of our minds time to move on.

Why do you post the bolded, then carry on with what you say you weren't going to carry on with?

I think if they really felt they were a playoff team they would not have traded their most consistent line player Motte and not upgraded a player like Hunt Chiasson Petan .

The GM said they are going to look at Lockwood and Rathbone now. Not the usual moves you make in a playoff push.

The recent poor homestand made them easy decisions. This is not a consistent hockey club. They had a nice stretch under Boudreau but not sustainable over 82 games imo.

I occasionally go on a little rant for a couple pages every now and then, but usually it is over 2 players I strongly dislike and usually only do it when the idiot fans start trying to claim how awesome they are.😁

Probably the same reason why you keep rambling on every day with trade Hughes and Petey . Also Load M and I have not mentioned the new Dman since I said to him I wouldn't

I am not worried at all about it... way too much whining over it!! Would you rather have Brad Hunt or Travis Dermott? I guess management figure that is an upgrade at LH 3rd pairing.
