But when someone who actually would have a legitimate reason for talking through his teeth to the media speaks its hard truths and we should condemn him to hell.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, the true issue with his and your positions and cancel culture in general is that you begin to vilify those who don't blindly jump in and hate people with you. The second someone is hesitant to support your position it becomes a matter of talking down to them as someone who just doesn't get it, because they clearly support a war criminal too. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Just to clarify - Wedgies basing his facts on Ovi's social media and Ovi's statements, and Ovi's own actions. Not on what some 3rd party said.

Ovi's on the record. No questions and zero doubt about where he stood on this particular issue. Wedgie and many many other's get to make the choice to think he's a (frank)head. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I personally just don't think the NHL should be getting into this stuff. or athletes in general for that matter. It's always bothered me when athletes, singers, etc, get too political. Just sing your songs, kick your balls, etc. I do'nt want to hear about politics when I'm watching a sport or listening to MOST music (some music is inherently political).

That is where sports tend to fall, the IOC exists purely on this principle. The lines have become blurred however with entities like FIFA and the IIHF deciding they were obligated to take a position. Colin Kaepernick made it kosher coming up on a decade ago, it's reasonable to expect some followers of sports to develop expectations when it's not a clear cut standard anymore.
