When my mom got sick, he basically refused to be away from her for more than 2 hours.

He's now too old for an outing that taxing - so sadly, that chapter has ended.

I took my two boys to their first Leafs game just before the pandemic hit (late 2019), it was a great time.
Was hoping to take them to their first Raps game this past fall, but it just didnt work out.

Oh damn, that sucks.... for me going to the Forum/Bell Centre with my dad is basically the way to do it.... I'd rather go with him than with friends.

I was hoping the Leafs grabbed Nick Paul too.

Well he had a similar offensive output playing for Calgary last year.

And he's had the most offensive start in his team in Seattle, so he wasn't really counted on in defensive situations.

I don't know, I've said it before the trade I didn't feel he was the right player for the Leafs, up to him to prove me wrong. God knows I've been wrong before.

It’s an expansion team… there are no defensive situations

I think his experience alone will help settle the leafs D and help to calm Campbell if he beats himself up over a goal tho… and I think that alone will be huge.

Even last year he got 26P in 56 games… which is literally 2P away from being half a point a game… playing for a struggling flames team. He’s still got that strong first pass and I think with Toronto’s forwards that’s going to bump up the pace of his point production…. At least a little.

Not to mention it’s safe to say he’ll get paired up with the guy who he had his best seasons with. That alone is something that could bump up his play.

I can't convince myself that they're set with Campbell + Sateri/Kallgren. Yes Sateri has been good internationally and in the KHL, as if evidenced by the amount of those who flop when they come to NA, that doesn't count for poop. 12 career NHL games between Sateri/Kallgren, 3 of them in the last 5 years.

That doesn't seem very Dubasy at all to be acquiring legit pieces and patching up holes just to be all-in on Campbell and a couple dart throws. Can't help but think there has to be more there. 🤔
