Selfishly i just love the theme song to Sanford and Son.

Should be an interesting day... Love the Gio add and the Dermott subtraction. Gives Keefe tons of options on the blueline after Muzz is healthy.

Leafs have signed. Säteri a good goalie, just won Olympic gold for Finland and was arguably second best goalie in KHL, but must clear waivers.

I’d like to see Mrazek claimed and maybe the Leafs get Holtby for insurance if his LBI isn’t serious.

I’d also like another depth d-man with snarl and nastiness.

But if nothing is done I’m still happy with what was done considering what was “given up” to accomplish it.

Dallas got Wedgewood from Arizona so this make me think the injury to Holtby maybe out longer than expected

I dont think the flames would be a lock in the east. Theyre no better than boston or washington. A few more games against the likes of tampa, carolina, florida, toronto would drop a few more points off their record.

It looks like Muzzin will be out till the end of the season.

Doubt the Yotes would want to carry the final two years of his salary (4.2 and 4 respectively) but...

... imagine the Leafs had a backdoor deal with ARZ to pick him back up in the summer? (yes, yes... the M-NTC probably kills that, but still!)

Best hope is to trade him for an injured player with two years or less remaining on their deal that will not play again. That way only cost is cash, no cap hit.

There’s still over a month to play (last game is April 29th), he’s already skating again, and Dubas has openly admitted they want him in games before the playoffs so he doesn’t plan on using the cap space he needs for him.

Unless Mrazek gets claimed in the next 5 and half hours don’t expect the leafs to do anything. Maybe something really minor but I even have doubts about that. With Blackwell being part of the Giordano trade the leafs will be able to have a lineup with Simmonds as the 13th forward (once Kase is good to go), their D has solid depth even without Muzzin being healthy yet, and they’ve picked up the guy who hopefully becomes their new backup at 2pm (Sateri).

I honestly think Giordano will stabilize the D making life easier for a goalie meaning Campbell won’t have to routinely stand on his head to be effective like he did to start the year.

That will bring back his confidence and he’ll play strong enough moving forward.

Notice how the leafs D typically plays more responsible for the first couple games of a rookie goalie this year leading to strong wins? I do believe the addition of Gio will make this the norm.

Ugh, I dont believe much will be done with the Leafs today, I was expecting a D move and possibly a bottom 6 guy, both occurred yesterday.
If Sateri is claimed they may have to overpay for another meh goalie, but if he's not it should be quiet.
But Im not sure I want Sateri as our back up just yet. Shallwin should be giving another shot first.
