To be fair, I don't even know which side he plays. I assume the left? So he's on the depth chart. - Aaron_85

I think Gio can but Sandin can if need be. - Aaron_85
Well Gio has proven he can but he doesn’t skate as quickly as Rielly or Sandin and Keefe’s PP seems to be based on a lot of quick movement.
However the D does seem to back pass the puck to a forward to carry it in as well so that might make it work with Gio too |

No… Liljegren is the right side guy, and Sandin is typically on the left. |

Leafs lack a point shot on the power play. Rielly actually has a really good wrist shot but rarely uses it from the point. Giordano has a canon and even on the 2nd unit or 5x5 could use it.

Right side
Which makes him slot in easily on his natural side beside Muzzin. |

By the way, more people should come to the Seattle blog. Roadrunner and I pretty much converse with ourselves about the Kraken lol

Like I said tho, Sandin has proven he can play the right side by playing there with Rielly last season for 9 games and getting 4 assists.
However if Gio takes on the 2nd PP the smartest thing to do there will put the best defensive player who gels with Muzzin. Hell, it still might be Holl since they’d no longer be the pairing as the primary shut down pair |

Now that’s true. And like I mentioned the d man’s job when it comes to puck carrying on the PP is to back pass it to a forward who’s gaining speed to break into the offensive zone quickly. Then Gio just gets past the blueline, plays it safe defensively but still blasts a few pucks at the net. |

Leafs were reported to be in on Chiarot, Hagel, and Lindholm, drove the price up on their division rivals, and swooped in with the best value deal of the Trade Deadline after the dust settled. Kyle Dubas masterclass, you can start engraving that GM of the year award any time

Super easy way to make your NHL team better: Ask your GM if they’ve phoned the Sens within the last 24 hours, and if the answer is no, you fire them immediately.

Yeah for reals. Kind of neutral ground to discuss Seattle. Which is fun around deadline day.
Francis has performed well this deadline I think. |

To be fair, they were in on Hagel and Lindholm for sure. I thought they were out on Hagel early though after not wanting to deal first round picks?

I think they weren't entirely out until they said (frank) no to trading Knies. Which could actually play into upping the price for other teams. |
