He’s not being listed as IR or OUT (Muzzin-IR and Campbell-OUT) tho… just DTD which typically means only a game or two. I’ll keep an eye on that and see if it changes anytime soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if the leafs are keeping the concussion word hush-hush for the time being.

I think tomorrow we will have a better idea of his injury. If he's put on LTIR he likely has a concussion, if not then just DTD.

Even a guy who hasn’t had concussions would be high risk for one there. Kase is most certainly going to be more susceptible for it.

Trust me. As someone who has a weak skull due to surgery I know that even the slightest contact can make me feel totally off for a few minutes without it being a concussion… just a weak skull providing the nervous system with a higher dosage of pain. Even after a grand mal seizure I’ll feel like poop for 2-3 days but technically there’s nothing wrong with me (other than the epilepsy obviously)

So weak heads can throw a guy off for a couple days even though nothing is actually wrong… and I can see this being one of the primary issues with Kase tbh

If anything it will be to dump away a cap hit for a pick or prospect so they have the cap room when Muzzin comes back… that’s all I’d see happening if even that. They can always drop people to the AHL as well

He said openly that Muzzin is skating again and they hope he’ll be back before the post season.

Therefore the money available will sit aside for when Muzzin gets back.

Fair trade for Dermott. A change will do him good.

If he lost consciousness (which it clearly looked like) that's the basis for diagnosing a 3rd grade concussion.
