Peak age for a NHL d man is 28.2 and those two will just be around 24-25 when Muzzin’s and Brodie’s contracts are up. By that time the two rookies will be far more steady and ready to take over for those two.

Yes he is now. If Muzzin isn’t ready to go then the leafs start the playoffs with two smaller rookie d man playing the 3rd pairing. Maybe they could handle how rough it would get but I wouldn’t bank on it.

Might be more worth it to get another forward in the lineup than have Holl or Boost sit...Especially with Kase and his injury history
