My thoughts, Mrazek on waivers in hopes someone grabs him for free as goalie market is slim pickings. So you give up no assets to acquire him. As well as if he clears then a team can trade for him and assign him to their AHL team too.

I am waiting to hear what the leafs gave up for Gio and he wasn't the target I wanted as a fan but I'll take what's given. Maybe he can shore up the 2nd pairing and him and Brodie can re-kindle magic from Calgary days.

You might be right actually.

Not sure, I figured because either way they are off the Leafs tomorrow the cap would be gone today.

So teams that have cap space and could possibly trade for Mrazek who have owners who may not mind paying for the deal are Buffalo, Chicago and maybe the sharks?

I could see a trade with Buffalo for the leafs 3rd rounder next year.

Chicago could do the trade and send back the likes of Carpenter to help offset the money, as well as the leafs get a rental for the 4th line.

And stay GET until the LEafs trade for Chychrun.
