No team has won the cup without an Elite d-man since the '06 Hurricanes - DirtyDan
Need both. Have always been in that camp.
Now having an elite D and a high powered committee offense? It's an interesting path.

This is false. You're completely ignoring all of the U23 forwards here and Tuch. They are missing a high end offensive talent (which may be here in Quinn eventually) but their model appears to be committee offense.
I'm not the guy that says just wait to incorporate the next draft pick. I'm well aware of their limited impacts not named McEichel Matthews. There's some work to do via trades to incorporate one or two high end offensive pieces and one or two RHDs (leaving goalie out of this) and simple analytics easily shows their deficiencies beyond simply youth.
Teams don't trade established 1Cs willingly. The Sabres can vastly overpay, trade for an older guy as a placeholder, or develop a team like there isn't one coming and hope one is found in the draft in the next few years. And right now, they're shaping the lineup like the latter. - TheSabresTaco
Do they really have a choice regarding the bold? |

Think I misspoke earlier. OJ Howard is going to UFA, Njoku was franchised. |

Forsberg (ext in place) for both firsts and Asplund
or
1st, Mittelstadt, Jokiharju. - TheSabresTaco
Do you have it written in blood that Forsberg is extending with Buffalo long term? |

Well, no, which is why they're doing it. As opposed to the Jason Botterill method of doing nothing but flailing in the (frank)ing pool.

I watch the games, there is no elite forward u23 in the organization, I don't see an elite 1C in the draft either. The sabres have a good supply of quality middle 6 players, Quinn will be one of them as well, he will not be elite.
Offense by committee...without elite forwards. The Sabres had 2 1st overalls and picked defenseman, they are currently looking for a vet to play with Power, they are not doing that for any forward on the team. That is building around Power.
They are building to make 2 dman faces of the franchise and hope a offense by committee is enough to get them over the hump.

Not that it was really a possibility before but everyone can cross Christian Kirk off the wish list.
He’s all the sudden going to be WR 2-4 in FA |

The St. Louis Blues did it by grinding other teams into the ice, what is this offense by committees specialty?

Are you irritated by my assumption that the team is projecting to be an offense by committee team or are you irritated that you think I somehow think that they can win it all by a presumed offense by committee

Spend the asset on a top two pick WR. That money can be spent on a more important position. Kirk's getting a fat paycheck that would ultimately be a luxury player. Go sign Humphries for a year, he does the same poop as Beasley at a worse rate.

When the green new deal female genitalias pull their musty bloody rags out of their dusty loose holes and allow Biden to use other options other than buy a $60k electric vehicle that will be delivered in 8 months...unitl then have a margarita. |

as soon as the oil companies stop using unrest to price gouge
or
when politicians are no longer allowed to own stock in oil companies...

I'm not irritated at all, it's very obvious this group is mediocre with the promise to develop into middle of the pack talent. I fail to follow your blind faith that an organization with a 13 year losing record in every facet of a running a company is choosing a route that is a low % chance of winning anything compared to the rest of the league.
It's not out of this world to question that the Pegulas 3rd try still won't work. |

Please do not mistake my interpretation of what they're doing and how they're trending, from knowing that it will be successful.
I'm saying it can be successful with the right players, and we are clearly not there yet, both with youth and actual missing players. |

So, when you're promoting a product, usually what you want to do is tell people why it's good to have. |

Your interpretation was wrong, they are not building around an offense by committee, they are forced to do that while building around Power and hopefully Dahlin. Quinn is not a savior by any means just another quality asset to hopefully help out.
Who are the right players to make it work? |

56% FO - Effective
$2.25m - Economic
Mid round pick - Efficient
Vogl is TPegs confirmed |
