Hi Bill,
Did the Flyers have any interest in Juolevi prior to Detroit nabbing him off waivers?? It seemed like a low risk move to me. |

Guess not since the Flyers, by virtue of their placement in the standings vs Detroit's, would have gotten the player if they'd put in a claim. |

Hi Bill, last one…
You mentioned before that you’d stay far away from Laine. Can you share YOUR insight on the player?

but that's it with you, isn't it? You never take a stand on anything expect Hextall is a great GM and the Flyers should fire Fletcher. Give a definitive take, should the Flyers want Tippet or can they do better? I gave my take, which is the Flyers can do better. Have some courage and give your opinion. - jd250
I take or make a stand on something when I have knowledge or insight on the subject. Unlike you, I'm not easily influenced by what I read or heard on any one day. Only to have it change when I read or hear something else. I have little knowledge of the player and can't make an informed opinion. If you were actually paying attention, you would know that I rarely get involved in discussions on draft eligible prospects or the deep level prospects of other teams. I'm not one of those posters who thinks he knows about every single player who plays hockey. Your assumption that it has to do with not having courage is asinine. |

With the rumored Kings interest in Rasmus, would love to see them find a way to poach Brandt Clarke out of there, Wanted him in the draft and he looks to be at least a 3-4 if not a future 1-2 D man, would possibly compliment Prov nicely. |

I also thought the Flyers should have nabbed him. Hard to believe he’s worse than Yandle Seeler and Cannauton. And with Risto and Braun probably on the move they’re going to need someone. If he stinks you waive him and his minimum salary. Like you say, low risk, really no risk. |

Chuckle phuck gonna do his bets to try to resign him, prepare yourself for it.....hopefully RR realizes he wont be playing in the playoffs anytime soon if he does sign so that leads him to say he will test free agent.

From what I read the Kings see Clarke as their future replacement for Doughty. I don’t think he’s available. I’m not even sure they’d make Turcotte available. |

The fact Fletcher is getting the trade deadline, draft, and free agency to enhance the steaming turd he's built after the last two years of bottom feeder, non competitive hockey is a joke. This is just going to result in a larger pile of poop in the next GM's lap. |

Danny Boy is no doubt the next GM imo. So how much input will he have now and going forward? More importantly how much will Chuck listen to him?

A Tocchet/Briere combination? Well at least they will be getting away from the formula they've used the last 30+ years.

Scored with 4 seconds left to tie the game against Boston last night, but somehow Columbus lost in a shootout Wanted them to win for 2 reasons, 1. to stay ahead of the Flyers and 2. because I hate the Bruins and wish with all my heart they never, ever win another game in their existence. - jd250

Maybe Chiarelli will be available for the draft. It’s too late for the deadline. |

Regarding the possible acquisition of Owen Tippett
He is exactly what the Flyers need. He is described as a pure goal scorer with average size and good speed. A player who his dangerous all over the offensive zone. He is 23 years old and a point per game player in the AHL although its a small sample size of 8 games.
Fletcher is looking to get prospects that are close to NHL ready. Tippett fits. - xShoot4WarAmpsx

I think if Florida is going for anyone it would be Giroux, Hopefully he's a team player here and opens up to trades to whoever offers the best haul, I get he has the right now to, and he earned that NTC in his contract, but it would be nice to get a ransom back for a change. |

One of his feeble attempts where he makes no dekes and shot the puck right into the goalie's pad. I mean, you learn in pee wee hockey that if you're going 5 hole you need to make a deke to open the goalie up. No wonder Jake never shoots.
Oh, and as far as Owen Tippett is concerned I say no. I don't like the fact that he was drafted 10th overall 5 years ago and has never been able to keep a spot at the NHL level. Something is amiss with this guy and I'd steer clear. Yes, the Panthers are deep at the forward position, but my concern remains. I want Newhook from the Avs! Thanks!
In other news it looks like the bloom has come off of NAK's rose in Colorado. Only 6 minutes of ice time last night. Johnny hockey lighting it up again, but he has a tendency of being soft come playoff time. Anybody want him? |

I looked up and down the Florida system and honestly If I am trading G I want Lundell, plain and simple. The Flyers need to obtain top end talent, and Lundell is proving that he may be a potential 1C to replace G. Right now he is behind Barkov and Bennett, and that means on Florida Lundell is destined to be the 3C for quite a while. I'm not sure what else Florida needs since they have a pretty solid lineup across the board but G at 3C would be an upgrade for this year and maybe next year. If I'm the Flyers, I look to see if G would be willing to sign an extension with Florida and then get Lundell in return. The only other potential top 6 forwards at Florida is Tippet and Denisenko, who has decent size, speed and ceiling, but already has the reputation of playing on the perimeter, soft and poorly in his own end. The Flyers have enough Denisenko's on their team and in their system already, and frankly Tippet with next year's 2023 1st round pick is not enough for G IMO. I want Lundell. |

Spot on about Jake and Tippet. If the Flyers are trading G they need a potential 1C replacement, and for me that is Newhook from the Aves or Lundell from Florida. Stand firm Fletcher, don't settle for just more crap from other teams! If you have to package Risto and G together which would put any contending team over the top IMO. |
