Yeah say what you will about Halak's season, and I feel like he has to be 50 so very well may have finally fallen off a cliff, but I've seen us get Halaked enough that I'd be quite comfortable bringing him in if he's cheap.

The past few weeks was supposed to be Olympic break so if your team didn’t have many postponed games it’s been rough. I swear Detroit has only played 5 games the last 3 weeks.

Well, I think this week we'll get a real test for DeSmith. Obviously a huge test for the Pens in general going back to back with Tampa and Carolina, but I think this will be a good indicator of DeSmith really is against top competition.

I still don't get the hysteria over the "diagonal" Pittsburgh.
I HATE anything associated with the Rangers, and I dont get why we bend over backwards to emulate that franchise or why some of the fan base goes ga-ga over the diagonal jerseys either!

Oh no doubt. This whole month starting tomorrow is pretty intense for the Pens overall haha. I will say though if we are still trying to get an indicator, or feel, for our back up in the 2nd last month of the season we should probably just get a back up via trade sooner than later haha.

I always wish the season started earlier. River flows are getting back to normal, lakes are nearly melted off, days are getting longer and the games start to get good.

Yea what you're saying is the higher percentage, but the more you grab the better chance you have at one of the guys making that bottom 6. Like one of those late bloomers.
