I would take those two but I don’t think I would want to move Zadina for someone who is 4-5 years older. - Feds91Stammer
Yeah not sure i would move Zadina for them but i doubt it would cost that much for Soucy anyways. |

Yeah maybe they would take a middling prospect to fill out their pool and a 5th. |

Wings claimed Juolevi off waivers from Panthers and assigned Veleno to GR. Wings now have 9 defensemen on the roster...something has to give. |

I don't know about tomorrow but someone will have to go soon. Leddy, DeKeyser (don't think anyone wants him aside from maybe Holland), Stetcher, Staal and maybe even Oesterle could be the one(s) to move by the deadline. None of these guys are really part of the future of this defense.
I wonder if Yzerman plans on having guys like Edvinsson, Johanssen, Soderblom come over after their SHL seasons are over to test them out either with the Wings or GR. |

I think Leddy and Stecher will be traded by the deadline. DeKeyser will probably retire at season's end. I think Oesterle and likely Staal will return for one last season. It's possible we could see Johansson this year, but don't believe the other two have signed pro contracts as of yet. |

Yeah, they could be signed once their SHL season ends though. Only thing about all 3 of them is Yzerman might not want to burn a year off their entry level contracts just for 20 games or so of this season. Might just have them play in GR and maybe give them less than 9 games so they don't burn a season off their contracts. I'm hoping we do see Berggren get a couple of games just to see where he stands at the NHL level.
Wings should look a bit different again next season. I just hope Yzerman can at least bring in a top 4 LD (two way or stay at home) and a proven 2nd line center like Hertl or Trocheck to move Suter to 3rd line where i think he belongs. Get a decent backup and the Wings would have a shot at the playoffs if things go well. |

Since AA was traded and Gagner came back in the trade package, AA has only 1 more point then Gagner. (AA scored 2 goals tonight, so Gagner was leading him till now) |

Minnesota Wild prospect Center Jack McBain might not sign with the Wild and could become a UFA 30 days after his season ends at Boston College. He's a 6'4, 208 pounds center that has 18 goals, 29 points in 22 games this season for Boston. He also played for team Canada at the Olympics with 1 goal 1 assist in 4 games.
Maybe Yzerman can trade one of the UFAs for their cup run or trade another prospect or pick so the Wings can try to sign him before he becomes a UFA. Or they can just wait and hope he wants to come to Detroit but pretty much every other team will make an offer once he is a UFA. |

Agreed, a 9 game maximum for any of the 3 this season. I'd be surprised if we don't get a look at Berggren this year. He's a poor man's Raymond. A veteran stay at home LD would fit in nicely along side Hronek. The hole at 2C will be trickier to fill, but Yzerman has certainly surprised us before. I do believe the Wings will be a playoff team next year. It's important the team shows significant improvement in every successive season; a fact of which Yzerman is well aware. |

He is also from Toronto. The thing is where will he get a better chance to make the team, Trono or Detroit? That may be the edge! Then he may like it out East, since he went to college there.

Vrana looks to be ready to return, but Wings are being coy regarding his status. I think movement of a rostered defenseman is imminent, most likely Leddy. |
