This is hard to disagree with. Our other problem is terrible ownership. It is the same ill plaguing all Philly sports teams.

The ownership of Eagles and Sixers is just fine.

Coots was very productive at ES scoring points before he "broke out" (aka got PP time and better linemates).
- Tomahawk

He only produced 34-39 points In realty thats a few points off of Nolan Patrick's typical year which was 31 I believe. I had to do a lot of searching to find this but he played on the 3rd line centering Read and A.Hall

Finally.

Couturier was the 2C starting in 13-14 when he was 20/21 years old. He played in that role for four years and scored 149 points in 293 games, 122 at ES. You must have been one of the dum dums who don't realize that PP time and production have nothing to do with what ES line a player plays on.

When he was 24/25 he got moved up to 1C and got more of a chance on the PP, and had the first of back to back 76 point seasons. Even then the vast majority of his scoring was done at ES.

- Feanor

I got Couturier wrong. I didn't even know the numbers. I just saw the guy play and I did not see the enhancement in the works.

What's more embarrassing is how the Flyers defend the blueline. MacEwen never steps up to challenge the puck carrier in the NZ. Seeler backs in almost to the circles before the puck even crosses the line, lol. Yands backs in too, but to his credit he kinda sorta decided to challenge, but in the most horrific, ineffective, self-defeating way possible.

- Tomahawk

MacEwen's high energy defense against the Blues (and every other team) was to sprint at the guy with the puck. Who teaches defense like that, or rewards it with more playing time? We know the latter is us? Is the first part also right?

The way the Flyers have handled the Yandle situation is another example of being a dinosaur organization.

In their mind, they are doing the "right thing" because Yandle is a veteran and as we all know veterans who have one of the key caveman traits (grit, sandpaper, 200ft game) are revered by Clarke and his cronies. The iron man streak is yet another example of this.

With President Biden in charge what could go wrong?

Funny how Russia does what it wants every time Biden has been in the Whitehouse.

Our owner is like Danny Snider with a touch more subtlety. He is a meddler and clueless. As for sixers, is it all those NBA championships that make you like the owners?

It's the whole we have to ice someone who can drop the mitts philosophy of line construction. dinosaur thinking...we will be one of the last team's to ice a 4th line that can threaten to score.

He’s a (frank)ing disgrace. If he had a shred of self respect, he’d retire. Fletcher and Yeo are even more pathetic. I don’t care what they “promised” him, they need to sit his ass out. I think the rest of the players will get it, they cannot be that oblivious to the fact that Yandle is simply not an NHL player any more.
- BiggE

10, 13 and now a 6 game losing streak. It’s utterly embarrassing at this point that he’s in the lineup. Of course the other players see it. His continued lineup role is an indictment of the entire organization. They have become a laughing stock.

This has everything to do with the timing of the pipeline...Putin didnt want to pay Ukraine the fees, plain and simple. Obviously he has other energy based reasons he probably did it but greed for him and his oligarchs was prime and center....but hey, Tucker Carlson talking points rather than looking at real reasons.

Dude, I live in this city. I follow the Eagles with a visceral fervency. Sixers less so, but I do know the basics. Cut the crap.

You are so comically clueless (which is about par with you) that I don't have the patience.

That is probably the explanation. It makes for really ugly, losing hockey. Makes sense that we can't figure these things out.

Speaking of this kind of ugliness, tonight is the first time that the Caps and Tom Wilson will be back in MSG since the cheap shot on the Breadman. What is the over/under on Reeves v. Wilson?

I also follow the Eagles and I can't "cut the crap" as he owns the team. But, this is a hockey board. As for comically clueless, takes one to know one.

I don’t think anyone knows what anyone is thinking. The real problem is the fact they’ve signed him at all. His streak makes news and for a team that has no chance of making the playoffs, the streak may as well live on.

Wilson is scared poopless of Reeve's. I just hope Hathaway doesnt intercept Reeve's so Wilson can get a pass but that is what my gut tells me.

He's a complete dirtbag...he may even more dirty than Wilson. Also could see Wilson trying to fight a second tier tough guy (Trouba, Goodrow) before Reeve's gets his shot. Basically."see, I stepped up and allowed your team their shot".

You realize that 30-40 points at ES is (frank)ing great, right?

Half of NP's points were coming on the PP, time which he did not earn. His quality of wingers was substantially higher than what Coots got early on. You can't compare the two.

Keith Yandle is a master at avoiding contact to prolong his "Iron Man" Streak. He was lucky to not pick up yet another minus on this cowardly effort.

he liked the add on the boards and was going to get a better look. I dont think that was best one from that game for him.

signing I have no issue, who could think he was going to be this bad. I have an issue with leadership, they should have mad it clear at signing that he needed to earn his ice-time, if not he would sit regardless of the streak, just weak leadership.
