No, he's not a different player at 5 on 5 than he is on the PP. He is the same exact player. The better situation he is playing in on the PP with better players brings out the best in him. Allows him to use his skill and take advantage of the strengths of his game. He is not able to do that playing in the situations and with the linemates that he plays with at 5 on 5. Don't like it or disagree with it all you want but it is the simple facts. He needs more time on the 3rd line? LMAO. He is ready to make a difference at 5 on 5 also. You just don't get it.

Your contradiction is that he has to earn an opportunity on a better line at 5 on 5 but he doesn't have to earn PP time.

I have explained it to you as simple as I can. It is a lost cause.

You're right, it is a lost cause ... you just don't understand how to develop a player. It seems you just want to find fault with Fletcher and his staff, who know more hockey in their pinky toe than you will ever know.

Fletcher is terrible and so is Yeo. It's not bad luck. The injuries are a blessing in disguise. Too bad he'll just continue to screw it up.
- MJL

We'll see ... just be ready to give him credit next year when he has an awesome off season.

If they continue down this path much further I’m rooting for a new team. Not worth getting invested in such a poorly run product for this long.
- hereticpride

I can't root for another team. I'll just enjoy good hockey watching the product of competent organizations without a rooting interest.

You're embarrassing yourself. You think the way the Flyers are handling Frost is the correct way. Did you read the quote from the article about Frost that I posted?

For (frank) Sake....Fletchers moves have not panned out
Fletcher's Staff- AV, Therrien, Yeo have been attrocious and have lead to the regression of every young player on the roster. Sanheim and Linblom have shown life since AV was canned Patrick and ghost feuded with AV and were shipped out. Myers was inconsistant and yanked around after every mistake. Juxtapose Myers with Yandle and the latter hasnt been sat and has been worse than Myers was last year. Fletcher is responsible for this (frank)ing disaster

Watching Rangers blowing out Caps. The tough guy Wilson and his partner in crime Hathaway a combined 0 hits. The Ryan Reeves affect. Wilson is a wussy scared of Reeves. Hoping we can rebuild like Rangers did and be a contender in 3 or 4 yrs. It can be done

Frustration is leading to ennui.

Many should envy your ennui, instead of attempting to squeeze out yet 1 more drop of discussion from the long dried tits of rationality.

I’m not there yet, but I have certainly bored from the quibbling BS.

Yet, like a masochist, I keep coming back to take a peek. I just don’t chime in as often.

All we need is another awesome off season from Fletcher. One or two moves and they're right back in it. I would have loved to be at that press conference and ask Scott just exactly what they were going to be back in?

Management is terrible, country club attitude, every move Fletcher has made (and will ever make) is terrible, the coach stinks. Boo hoo, I’m going to stop being a fan. I’m paraphrasing. Just pointing out that your obsession with a hockey team is just as “embarrassing” as the other poster’s optimism. Don’t get me wrong tho, I’m not saying I’m any less pathetic.

You are incorrect in describing it as a tantrum. A tantrum would be an isolated incident and outburst. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you'd know that I was giving the same opinion that I have posted numerous times from a consistent point of view. Numerous other posters also interacted with me in that conversation. Do you actually have anything to contribute?

Nah. Lidstrom would have to earn more ice time playing on the 3rd pair.

I’m aware that you’ve been saying the same thing over and over again. I’m just saying it’s no less embarrassing than the other poster’s optimism. Come on, aren’t you just a little embarrassed to be this much of a fan of a hockey team? I know I am. It’s just silly. Anything to contribute? Ha ha ha.

Went well. Will post tomorrow.

Jason and I also interviewed Craig Button today on a variety of topics: state of the Flyers, Giroux rumors, 2017 Draft redux, Frost development, Provorov, Ristolainen, 2022 Entry Draft and more.

That one is available now:

So who do you guys think are moved at the deadline? Any guys you think could be a surprise?

My guess.

Moved:
Giroux
Ristolianen
Braun

Maybe moved depending on return:
Konecny
Sanheim

Surprised player to move:
Laughton - I feel like a team could come in and give a 1st rounder for him since he is cost controlled and can play multiple places in the lineup. Not saying I want to but someone I could see teams like.

- J35Bacher

Definitely those first 3 you mentioned.

I could be swayed by the return but I absolutely consider not trading Braun and bringing him back.
- MJL

To resign Braun is not a smart move. Need to acquire as many assets as possible. You can sign a Braun like player in free agency. Unless it is a low ball offer you move him.

Funny coming from you the king of wanting to acquire as many assets as possible.

Hopefully Braun wantks to move on anyway.

I can see Chuckle phuck resigning several players instead of trading them however. He isn't very bright.
