Just looking at how Granato has deployed everyone when healthy. We got only a few minutes of it, but when Tage, Mitts and Cozens were healthy at the same time, Krebs differed to them and went down the lineup. We really don't have any center that fits the mold of a protypical 4C either. Cozens would be the closest, but I'm sure everyone agrees that would be a gross misuse.

we have Asplund and zgirgs on this team. I think one of them can slot in at 4c just fine. Even Janko looks like he could fit in fine there.

Also Krebs first year playing in the show. Let him assimilate. He could very well be our 1C next year.

Still think Asplund has some utility as a cheap 4th liner, but I get the knock. Bjork is just out there by himself.

They both play like they want to be top 6 players, they simply don't have it. Need to find quality players who embrace bottom 9 roles, its hard to sell those roles on teams designed to lose.

I don't mind either as depth guys for a year, just looking at how to upgrade this team. I'd love to bring in a guy that was a better shutdown center than either of them or Janko.

Krebs will grow, no doubt, but I think if it isn't him it has to be someone else. I don't really want to see any of our current natural centers playing that low in the lineup. Krebs seems to do very well on the outside, playing wing, I think he's the most natural to shift and it gets him 1st or 2nd line minutes in the long run then.

Has Krebs really been down the lineup? He's stayed in the top 6 and is still out in key situations.

He's already one of their best players and quite possibly projects to be the best C of those 4. The fact that all 4 are comfortable on the wing is nice thing.

Yeah, I don't see us getting a lot of attraction without opening the pocket back and I don't want to overpay for role players. It's kind of why I don't mind Asplund, he will grow into a defensive role in time. He is just coming up to 100 games played.

I'd be looking at Upgrading the right side of the D and finding 2 solid goalies for next year.

Figure out what works and who plays well together on Offence through the season next year and upgrade it at the appropriate time.

There's just to much unknown for the Offence. imo.

At least according to dobber, his most common linemates are still Okposo and Olo, then he played with Mitts and Bjork as a winger next most (5v5). So he has, just has gotten a lot of PP time got a little fill in time here and there as these injuries piled up.

I still think Cozens could end up better, but I totally agree he is one of the best we got. Only reason to shift him to the wing was to get more minutes. I'd argue Tage and Mitts never succeeded at wing despite their familiarity with it, do we want Cozens in the bottom 6 or out of position instead?

100%, that's where I thought there was too much unknown though. I'd love to offer Letang the Hall deal and draft Nemec in a perfect world. Won't happen, who tf knows what will, but they gotta do something.

Could depend on which way they go in the draft to.

Oh 100%, we win the lottery, everything changes. We draft 8th, not much coming soon outside the big 3 now. There's quite a range there you're right. Options are good and bad lol.

Sean Payton called the last 13 seconds of the Bill's game a "Crime Committed" by Frazier and McDermott. Said the kickoff was fine, it was what took place after.

Krebs is currently rocking a 30% Xgf% right now

Good for dead last of any regular forward

I don’t get the hype. He’s made 3-4 wow plays, and a bunch of nothing

It's not a knock on Cozens. He could be the better of the two, but right now it looks like Krebs has a much higher ceiling offensively.

Mitts has had very little success in the NHL.

Tage's play has improved significantly this year. I think it's very debatable how much of that has to do with moving to C. Physically, we're watching a different player now than last year. I think we'd see that at RW as well.

He was just referring to someone going to the wing if we were to get Wright.

It might be. I'm certainly not going to get worked up because they're INTERVIEWING people.

If we had, say, Tua at QB, I'd worry 😂
