there's like 6 dudes on the taxi rn. they dont need to play.
- TheSabresTaco

I know Rochester was very short
And they were sending players down to play for them
And recalling them

Showing Murray on taxi squad
But he played in Rochester last game

well they certainly have time to get their squad to vegas. it's only for one game so they'll be back in for Rochester by the weekend. I doubt they'd get into the Wednesday night game

Starting to wonder if it isn't better to put Krebs at LW and keep him there for 2022. He gets buried otherwise:

LW: Skinner, Asplund, Peterka, Girgs
RW: Tuch, Quinn, Okposo, Olo
C: Tage, Mitts, Krebs, Cozens

Lines work out something like this:

Skinner Tage Tuch
Peterka Cozens Olo
Asplund Mitts Quinn
Girgs Krebs Okposo

Doesn't look good. Natural fix is to sign a 4C, move Krebs to LW again. I'd also trade Olo and use some of the murrency to get a top6 RWer.

Skinner Tage Tuch
Krebs Mitts Nichushkin/Rust (UFA)
Peterka Cozens Quinn
Asplund Girgs/UFA Okposo

That looks better. Thoughts?

***Nichushkin and Rust aren't my first choices, just guys who would likely test markets this summer.

- QuinnFan

Realistic and well done. Curious to see what move they'll if they lose the draft, lot is riding on lottery balls, they also have to find a goalie.

I would think they could fly them back by Wednesday night for the Amerks game. Of course would be a long night.

Eichel why some posters here want to see a top 5 talent in the world crumble because of Terry two times is beyond me.

- washedup20

Yeah that's not why.

He pouted and sulked when he got drafted, he pouted and sulked when he wasn't made captain immediately, he cried and sulked when he didn't like Bylsma, he did the same with Housley, he never took over a game down a goal in the third period, and he generally underwhelmed in every sense of the word. Leadership, development, results.

He hasn't won at any level of hockey. When he has played on international teams, he's been buried on the 4th line and doesn't produce.

We don't like him because he is a garbage person.

On top of that he broke numerous codes of ethics by disclosing his injury, exposing the team for how they handled it, and demanding a trade literally every year since he got here.

God, he didn't do anything for this organization. Nothing. Except maybe give us a couple of good players in return for him.

That's it. (frank) him.

Modern day Jim Plunkett

all the hype, taken first overall

Plunkett bounced around with a few teams and then won his first super bowl with the raiders at age 33
Stafford is 33 years old

- navinrjohnson

Plunkett was a career backup not even close

The fact so many of you do not see an issue with the way he did this is alarming.

It's called ethics.

I'm not going to discuss it. You just completely fail to miss the point almost every time you quote someone.

No problem Dog. Kinda messed up cause he tested negative to take the flight but then they made him test again when he got to Colorado. He couldn't play because his results hadn't come back.

A few excerpts from an interveiw on The Athletic with Shane Doan on being Team Canadas GM.

What do you think we’re gonna see from Owen Power in this tournament?

I’m a huge Owen Power fan. I’ve known him for three or four years now. He’s an incredible talent. I don’t think people really understand how good he is. What he did for us at the world championships, this last one in Latvia, he was incredible. Nothing has really been handed to him. He’s had to go out and work for it. He wasn’t one of the guys that was chosen early on — that this guy’s predestined as a great player. He has kind of come on to the scene in the last year and a half, two years … for some. I’ve been a huge fan for the last four years. I’m just saying. But I think he’s gonna be great for us. He’s got some guys around him, some veteran guys on the blue line. Our blue line’s a veteran group for the most part, and that was important. And he’s gonna have the opportunity to be around those guys, and it’ll be good.

Devon Levi is having a historically good season at Northeastern. Our prospect writer, Scott Wheeler, was saying he’s a legitimate Hobey Baker frontrunner, and for him to be leaving that behind to come to this tournament — it’s pretty big. Can we expect him to get in some games because he left the program? Or was that just him being like, “I know I’m having a great NCAA career, but this is the Olympics. This is my country. I wanna be there.”

I think there’s a huge element of that. I think that he is one of the frontrunners for the Hobey Baker, probably him and (forward) Jack McBain. Jack McBain has been having an unbelievable year, as well. I know his dad, and for him to get on this team was a cool moment, too. I think what Levi’s doing in Northeastern is — he has nine shutouts in like 19 games — it’s unbelievable. We’ll see. I mean, that’s obviously gonna be up to the coaching staff to make that decision. That’s what camp’s all about. And all three of the guys, we’re so comfortable with all three. We’re fortunate to have that.
