I kinda hope the Mitts injury is something new. If it's the same thing and we rushed him back, not a good look.

Also, was watching the game on my crappy phone. How was that not a hand pass?

Wait. He got hurt again?

he just hit his 82-game mark...despite all that inconsistency, and despite bouncing around from wing to pivot from top-nine to top-line he's managed 15 goals and 19 assists
- Michael Pachla

He is developing nicely, as he gets older that consistency will grow.

list of goalies cozensons has beaten with his 11 goals this year (period, score at the time of his goal):

njd, nico daws (1st, 0-0)
edm (2), stuart skinner (2nd, 1-2; 2nd 2-2

- Michael Pachla[gw])
cbj, korpisalo (2nd, 2-5)
det, nedeljkovic (2nd, 0-0)
sea, dreiger (3rd, 3-6)
fla, bob (1st, 1-0)
min, talbot (2nd, 0-1)
ott, a. forsberg (1st, 0-0)
dal, holtby (2nd, 2-1)
col, kuemper (2nd, 0-1)

This kind of reiterates what I've thought all along too. He plays an explosive game and to do that at this level his endurance will need to be crazy. He's not quite there yet, which is why he dies a bit more than vets in the 3rd. In a few years when he's fully acclimated to the speed and minutes, he could end up being a monster. 30 goals should not be thought out of reach with this, 1 3rd period goal.

Agreed. Can add Samuelsson to that list. Despite my backreading I don't see enough people enamored with what he's doing out there. "Stalwart" doesn't do him justice.

Well done. I didn't think he had the speed to do this, he's been lights out. I hope he can maintain this. Agreed on Fitz too.

Too late and it is what it is, sometimes the tiger gets out of the cage around here. At least it was mostly hockey related.

You could spend $0 and get a better workout
- DirtyDan

I could and have in past, but im no longer young nor poor. 862 calories in one hour is a fine workout by any standard, especially when you just have to walk to the spare bedroom.

Don't knock cycling till you've tried. It's a real workout.

Starting to wonder if it isn't better to put Krebs at LW and keep him there for 2022. He gets buried otherwise:

LW: Skinner, Asplund, Peterka, Girgs
RW: Tuch, Quinn, Okposo, Olo
C: Tage, Mitts, Krebs, Cozens

Lines work out something like this:

Skinner Tage Tuch
Peterka Cozens Olo
Asplund Mitts Quinn
Girgs Krebs Okposo

Doesn't look good. Natural fix is to sign a 4C, move Krebs to LW again. I'd also trade Olo and use some of the murrency to get a top6 RWer.

Skinner Tage Tuch
Krebs Mitts Nichushkin/Rust (UFA)
Peterka Cozens Quinn
Asplund Girgs/UFA Okposo

That looks better. Thoughts?

***Nichushkin and Rust aren't my first choices, just guys who would likely test markets this summer.

quality ufa targets for what this team should be looking at. Send Bjork into the sun and tie Asplund to him.

Wouldn't rush Mitts, he was walking quite weird going down the walkway after the 1st last night.

I guess it was a 'precautionary' pull so... whatever that means.

Curious why you see him as 4C. He could easily be pushing for 1C with this group.

Also, since you also mentioned RW, you fix that easily by bumping Tage or Cozens over. They have options.
