I've never wasted my time with analytics but it's simple math to tell me that a game That went to overtime probably has a different ending if Kansas City takes 3 points at the end of the 1st half.

Game day thread: The NHL and league doctors determined there was an issue with the Sabres’ test results in Arizona.

Another round of tests were processed overnight and all 8 came back negative. Cont…

Rasmus Dahlin and Victor Olofsson are at the arena in Denver awaiting their PCR test results. If those come back negative, they can play.

Asplund’s flight was delayed so he won’t make it in time. He too will have to be tested.

The Sabres have 7 here from Rochester: Oskari Laaksonen, Ethan Prow, Jimmy Schuldt, Arttu Ruotsalainen, JJ Peterka, Brett Murray and Brandon Biro.

None will be needed if Dahlin and Olofsson can play.

Long story short, the Sabres won’t know who is playing until the results are back for Dahlin and Olofsson.

This is obviously all much better news for the team. We’ll see.

Still waiting to hear from Sabres coach Don Granato, but we probably won’t get lineup news other than the starting goalie.

Will Butcher returned to Buffalo to be evaluated by doctors.
