That’s off the top of my head, but no this time is different.

Interesting list, what makes a bust. Cause 9 of those players are still playing in the league.

And I can make an equally awful list of free agent signings and players traded for, neither list proves a thing

How dare you besmirch the name of the Sabres future 2C.

How dare you, sir.

That is a list of players that were going be be difference makers for this franchise, that were talked about in this board over the years.

All of them fell well short of expectations.

Didnt that Ennis guy have a hat trick the other night?

Im sure no one ever thought he was going to be a difference maker.

You sure can, what broads and I are trying to say is relying on all of these draft picks to reach full potential is a disaster plan.
You have to have a combination of smart drafts low-key free agent signings and good trades.

You cannot solely rely on draft picks

Nic Baptiste was never given a real look. I think with his wheels he could have been somebody if he had been given a real shot

He had more opportunity than he really deserved. He had 1 good AHL season and never approached that again.

Kid had killer wheels. Should have been given a full NHL season somewhere in all those lost years imo

He had that opportunity on a silver platter here, and wasn't up to it.

Eh, he was a Darcy pick the year before Tim Murray took over and started to look for his "heavies." Then he got lost in the shuffle with Botterill.

They played Jordan Nolan 69 games that year ('17-'18) but Baptiste didn't get a full look

If he played well after leaving (even in the AHL), you'd have a much stronger case.

True, unfortunately a few never really got the chance and got traded away leaving holes in the system and more assets had to be used to fill spots cause we had no prospects.

Nope. Not cool. And I'm a Bengals fan.

I just cannot see them in the Super Bowl before us this year.

I'm done.

He's still playing pro hockey but once you're no longer someone's "guy" it's tough to get that shot. Maybe you're right and he never would have been anything. Just would have liked to see him get a full year somewhere in there

Nah, ya gotta put pysser on RW and let him go in and forecheck and dig pucks off the walls/out of corners. He actually was pretty good at it.

Oh my god this makes last week so much (frank)ing worse.

I hope the Bengals get (frank)ing killed in the Super Bowl.

I honest to god just stopped being a Bengals fan.

I can't have this if I'm a Bills fan. Just nope.

If they lose the Super Bowl I will love them once more but not until then.

I will honestly hate the Bengals more than the Patriots and Steelers combined if they win the Super Bowl after this.

Our (frank)ing moron coaching staff just gave Cincinnati a Super Bowl.

I want to puke.

I found him a very frustrating prospect. Had some tools, but never put it together.
