Tampa is the outlier. The draft seems so random after the top 13 or so. Granted you can't trade all your picks year after year, but the position the sabres are in, I would absolutely trade those two late firsts for a long term solution at RD. - Wanchuk
Kucherov and Point in todays NHL wouldn’t make it out of the top 10 picks either.
The Russian bias and not drafting elite players because they are small isn’t happening much at all anymore.
I guess Debrincant lasted till early second round but he was probably the last. |

I don’t play Gm mode on Xbox or anything but...
Is Samuelsson going to be stuck behind Dahlin and Power on the left side?
Samuelsson for Owen Tippett ? - Ratsreign
They'd be better off keeping Hinostroza imo. Slightly better PPG and he's free |

Nice try. How about Anton Lundell instead? |

I'd love him on a 3 year deal, I just always assume guys his age want something longer. By all means, overpay for a 3 year deal, but anything longer and I'd be hesitant - Wanchuk

Anderson 5-2. It’s absolutely amazing what a competent goalie can do for you. - hehateme
I said something similar last night and was promptly shut-down.
As if Anderson hasn't been a boy-wonder his entire career.
Imagine if we had a healthy Anderson and UPL as our goalie tandem from the start, maybe we would have been a little more like Detroit this year. That team is feisty and fun to watch. We are frustrating but every 5th or 6th game, it seems to come together and we play a game that's about as far-removed from the tank years as I've seen.
It's been happening under Donnie. I can see the slow drip. He just hasn't turned that faucet on yet. They ultimately are doing what I wanted this year, showing improvement while making the games interesting to watch.
Not a single time during the Eichel-era did I think this team was anything to write home about, and that was through two 10-game win streaks. A few of us said during both of those runs that it wasn't sustainable, we needed to add depth, goaltending and make some moves in support but we just sat on our hands and traded away the two players we specifically tanked for, and managed to alienate the other guy we tanked for in the process...
The stank is almost gone. Finish the year strong, let Power have his 9 games, and gear up for next year.

If you have the chance to add established, good NHL’ers, you do.
Outside of Cozens, Krebs and probably Power, you can’t bank on any of these prospects yet.
Just look around the league at tons of high end prospects that just never panned out to be what everyone thought
It’s going to happen to a few of our prospects - sbroads24
I'm still waiting for Zemgust Girgenloins to become our furniture crap-stain. I'm positive only another year or two of development for him before he breaks out. |

And Devon Levi - Hank Balling
I keep forgetting about him. That is probably a good thing. He feels the projection and it motivates him. I am his psychic goalie coach and he doesn't even realize it. |

That's about as pro-Jack a spin as can be put on it. There were assets brought in to support Jack and co. Certainly enough to make the playoffs once.

Odd technicality, Power's contract can't slide. If he signs this season, it will burn a year.

I think you just gotta live with that if you're the Sabres.

90% of us thought Dahlin would be a Norris candidate by now and and Mittelstadt would be a 60 point 2C |

Looks like Josh McDaniels to Las Vegas and Jim harbough to Minnny.
Running out of places for Frazier to land. |

I'm guessing this language is due to trying to sneak players in so to speak like they potentially would with Power while still having an added year of team control.
An exception to this rule is that if the player is 19 on September 15 of the first year of their contract, and turns 20 between September 16 and December 31, their contract does not slide. |

Maybe, could also be the NHLPA negotiating on a rule that is really unfair to these players.
