Is there a reason medical staff still employeed?
My take away from yesterdays
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
blah blah blah...

"We still need to see if Ellis or Coots need to take route of surgery and be out for season."

So we know it is an issue and eventuality...Why wouldn't we shut both down now get fixed, start rehab be 100% by June get stronger July to Sept, Be better then ever start of season.

I already know our Med staffs course of inaction. Surgery July, not 100% overtrain re-injure new surgery out till next February as a shell of former self.

Rinse and Repeat!!

Why? Because Igor is a better player than Yandle at this point is one reason. You let Igor get acclimated to the intricacies of the NHL so he is more prepared next season when they want to "contend" is another reason. Maybe you showcase him to other teams to increase his trade value could be another.

Nah lets just keep Yandle out there who had zeo future with this team. Never mind the fact he is a liability.

- hello it's me 2050

What’s the team’s future right now? Yandle’s future with this team is mirror image of this team making the playoffs. It’s all just fan nonsense. Play the kids…on a poop team that is on the road to nowhere.

The reality is, playing hockey is Yandle’s job. You don’t pay a person to do nothing. Fans are so stupid.

If they aren't ready for the start of next season just chalk it up to bad luck.

Scott Wheeler of the athletic is ranking every team based on prospects, so far he is at team number 14, and hasn't hit the flyers yet, so he ranks us at least top 13 compared to other teams. Maybe it isn't as bad as we are thinking it is?? I don't follow other teams so not very easy for me to compare. I just don't see the top end talent. Curious to see where he ranks us.

I am too. I only worry about the cap circumvention aspect if they use LTIR to stash them when they can actually physically play. Its not a big worry, but they had better be injured.

As of this moment we have over $11 million on IR and over $10.5 million in LTIR.

No one has still answered the question if they all have the same/similar core type injuries which would lay it flat on the drills AV/Therriecrap had and the medical/training staff. Might as well ask if any of the drills were from Yeo.

Might as well ask if Brassard has the same issue or any other injured player

If I could get the ear of an upper level person ( is Roberts still the Comcast head?)

Profile the players based on their age and who has these issues, do a forensic report on the teams injuries...What the President of Comcast doesn't want to hear...that his hires to manage the hockey ops, the GM and the coach may have negligently caused injuries to their players, along with investing in damaged goods ( Ellis) and overpaying for assets..

At which point Scott blames the ice surfaces not the drills or game action, since there is less attendance, the temperature and humidity are different affecting the hardness of the ice surface and blames it on Covid protocols and Crypto currency or whatever.. the dog ate his homework

This team makeup reminds of the pre Crosby Penguins......without the drafting of Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Fleury.. a lot of AHL players and marginal players on ice for Lemieux to work off the Pens debts..and tanking
I guess you could say Hart= Fleury in 2003-04.Look at that roster...

They are paying Seeler and Cannauton to do nothing.

Seeler would actually be a better partner for York because Seeler can play the right side, and isn't a complete disaster on defense.

I doubt anyone in the rest of the league cares who the Flyers have on LTIR. It's not like they are using it to get an advantage in the playoffs.
- Feanor

As long as the NHL gods are pleased with the Hockey Revenue they will not say anything. As someone who worked with a sports memorabilia dealer told me years ago when I was making some stark accusations regarding the draft lottery and officiating.. " The NHL considers the Flyers good partners" Read into that and you don;t have to go too far.. Cash Cow

OK. The Flyers aren't doing anything different than the rest of the league with LTIR. It's not an issue.

Cannauton and Seeler aren’t Yandle. Yandle is reacted NHL player. Maybe not by you but by the league.

You don't pay a person to do nothing. Hysterical.

Just answer me 1 question please:

1. Is there any benefit for the Flyers to play Igor over Yandle?
A) if yes what do you perceive to be the benefit.
B) if no, why do you not see a benefit.

Hi Bill, I was actually thinking the same thing when I saw the lineup you posted. I would like to see Frost playing with TK and JVR just so we can put to rest this debate about whether Frost's problems are due to unskilled line mates or his own play. I feel even on the line he is on now, with Mayhew and Willman, Frost is not the best Flyers' player on the ice most shifts, and that concerns me. As far as Allison goes, can we even count on him given his injury history? I feel bad for the kid but its doesn't look good for him, I mean how many injuries can one player take at such a young age?
- jd250

There is still a disconnect here. You seem to think that those who want Frost to play with better players is because his problems are due to who he plays with. That is not correct. Frost's issues are his issues. I can speak for myself but I want him to play with better players because I believe it will help him find his game and help him gain confidence. Allow him to use his strengths as a player.

Well I’ll answer you questions by saying what I said already. No there is no benefit because Igor wouldn’t be playing for anything. The team is garbage so you want this kid to play for/with garbage? We should be thankful he’s nowhere near this.

I agree, the only reason you sit Yandle is if you have a better option, including playing a young kid that you think is ready. Who in the Flyers system besides Cam York is ready for a chance at the NHL level? I know we keep saying Zamula but the kid is 175lbs soaking wet, he needs to add muscle if he is going to play consistently in the NHL. I would rather Zamula stay with the Phantoms in an expanded role and get stronger and more experience there.

There is a better option. Nick Seeler.

Agree. It also allows the assessment to drive closer to whether Center is for him or if he is better suited to be a top 6 wing.

Then you and I agree

Devon Toews was traded to the Colorado Avalanche by the New York Islanders on Monday for a second-round pick in the 2021 and 2022 NHL Draft. The 26-year-old defenseman, who is a restricted free agent and filed for salary arbitration on Oct. 10, scored 28 points (six goals, 22 assists) in 68 games last season.

If he's so respected, some playoff team should trade for him and play him in every single game instead of Philly.
