Good thing about having new management is that they don’t have any attachment to the players so I think they’ll be open to trading almost anyone.
I think a trade with Pitt is inevitable, whether it’s big or small. JR/Allvin/Clancy will likely have players they like more than Hextall does - Nucker101
I hope so because this is the same piece of poop that Benning built, real change is going to take time. I don't know if I have the patience, I've already lost interest for this year. Another retool is not going to impress me, I wanted it torn down a decade ago. |

“During Allvin’s time as a scout in Pittsburgh, several players drafted outside the first round were regular NHLers. These include Guentzel, Tristan Jarry, Bryan Rust, Conor Sheary, Oskar Sundqvist and Olli Maatta“ |

Thanks Carol
I heard Dave Pagnotta talking about the cap and Canucks yesterday. They think Canucks will try to move Myers. I wonder how many draft picks that will take? - VANTEL
I hope we keep him. OEL is the contract we have to dump at any cost. |

OEL, Myers and Hughes are playing 23 -28 minutes a night, I doubt any of those 3 will be moved anytime soon.
Not saying they shouldn't, but just that I doubt it. |

Not sure if you were serious.
That is 2 weeks away. That would be a ballsy thing for a new GM to walk in and trade a core player 2 weeks in.

I hope we keep both . I am not wanting to give away draft picks to move them. Seen that happen before .

The 1st move could be Halak, if he is willing to waive. Several teams, including Pittsburgh could use his services. |

I can see minor trades like that but not Miller or Boeser yet.
I don't know how true it is but I heard Halak does not want to waive. Maybe he doesn't want to move again???

Maybe that was one of the interview questions. Here's 3 teams, what would expect in return for Boeser? |

Doesn't want to waive to Edmonton, but wants to play more.

Boeser could be gone but I get the impression if they are trying to clear cap space it would be to extend Boeser. I don't see any possibility of both Miller and Boeser being moved. I would prefer it was Boeser that went but I am not sure if they are considering it.

Sat said the sense is Bo Horvat wants to stay and the contract may not be as big as some people think if they go long-term.

I just using him as an example, my point being that I don't think it would be that blind or sudden considering he could have been pondering different player movement scenarios while prepping for the potential job.
I agree that his 1st move will most likely be a 'less impact' move before the big guns come out. Halak/Martin, Motte, Schenn or Pearson. |

His plan is to probably light it up with McDrai and then get paid next summer. |

I wouldn't be surprised to see a mini bidding war for Motte, he'd be a good depth add for a playoff team |
