I don’t get the luv for Barron.
Jost hasn’t impressed at all. - Nighthawk
Barron is an excellent defenseman.

Who said one of the reasons to trade him was to free up capspace to sign Horvat and Hoglander?
JR was pretty clear when he said a team in the position the Canucks are in(non-playoff team) shouldn't be in cap trouble like they are.(paraphrasing)
Also, I can't see Hoglander getting paid much more than1.2 million. - Reubenkincade
Cap trouble is the allocation & term some players are on. Pearson & Poolman for starters & the QO for Boeser & bonuses coming for Halak. After that the rest is in good to great shape. |

I don't see Kaako moving cuz Rags don’t have the RW depth to do it & it’s not our weakness.
What is excellent about Barron?
Lafreniere is stuck on the 3rd line behind big money in Panarin & Kreider. Be top 6 here.
Kravtsov has been mishandled but comes off as a flake.
Lundkvist is interesting but doesn’t fill our need for more size. |

They talk about his offense ability here
https://www.eliteprospect...ayer/294613/justin-barron
But Barron is also a very solid defender in his own zone, he is 6'2 200# and a right shot defenseman |

So a good test for the Canucks tonight, if I had a concern it would be that Demko hasn't played in awhile and could be a bit rusty, same with Horvat.

I have managed to watch 3 straight games. Impressed with the effort and style of game Bruce has them playing. Be nice having Bo back for sure, Demko is expendable, now that Martin is the #1 goalie😉 |

A 2nd is losing it &/or forcing the Rags to use cap when big raises come into effect next year? |

Rust more for Demko but the rest could be a bonus. |

Why are you concerned about the Rangers capspace next season.
Also, what is with your love affair with the Rangers prospects/players.
Remember this is a team that you ridiculed about there rebuild, which by the way, is only 3 years into it . |

Martin is definitely a awesome surprise, I hope they can get him future games with the Canucks. |

Cap space is real if you didn’t notice & is part of trading.
No luv affair just the leading trade candidate to make a Miller trade.
Never ridiculed their rebuild. I said GORTON isn’t the genius ppl gave him credit for.
Panarin wanted to go to the big Apple regardless of who the GM was.
Fox fell into his lap.
Lucked out winning Laf & Kaako & neither has been great.
Where is the cap space on your beloved Av’s coming from for Miller? It isn’t fantasy cap matters. |

Gotta love maritime weather, except flying into Moncton during one of those storms, or Halifax or St. John's... I've always been sent east during a winter storm, never summer sunshine |

A Demko/Martin combo would be a nice fixture moving forward, providing Martin continues his solid play.
I am expecting another solid game from the Lamikko, Highmore and Motte line tonight. 2 goals. |

Well if you don't trade him you'll have to sign Hoglander, Horvat, AND Miller. So it's not only freeing up his cap space at the moment, but his raise in 1.5 years as well.
Taking from his play last season (only "full" season data), players around that age and point production are paid 2 mil realistically. Some 4-5, Laine at 7. |

They certainly responded to Boudreau's criticism and they look dangerous and fast, a pain in the ass to play against.
I am expecting some goonery from Lucic, maybe Scheen can plaster Johnny into the boards a few times.
Comrie just made an outstanding save on Pionk, his own (frank)ing player.. |

Meh, doesn't make it a weakness. If a team like NYR offer a B prospect in a package, but will upgrade that to an A prospect if the Canucks retain 50%, is that weakness, or just getting the best deal?
Retaining on JTM will only cost max 2.625 against the cap next year – not a huge number at all. Especially as one of the reason to trade him (free up cap space for Horvat and Hoglander) means the retained amount will come off the books at that moment. As well, if you're getting good young players back, their ELCs will offset that cap amount. - NewYorkNuck
You're assuming only one team is bidding. Or everyone wanting Miller needs salary retained. I'm assuming other teams are involved and not all of them are insisting on retaining salary.
Why the fu ck would Vancouver be worried about keeping cap space for signing Hoglander? You get an early start to Oktoberfest? |

You’re such a moron and don’t even know it. Spend a quick bit of time to research both the NHL rules, as well as the Canadian border rules. Doing your own research is very gratifying - 1970vintage

The only narratives that change are the antivaxxers, can’t get support from outside so you guys continuously need to change your rhetoric.
Different countries, different health authorities, different policies, etc., etc., but I guess we shouldn’t expect comprehension from closed minded individuals, it is what it is. |
