That means Miller going & needs 1 more key piece coming back. The 1st is late 20’s & not that interesting to me. - Nighthawk
Not sure the Rangers would send another player, you’re probably looking at a 1st. Your next comment is about getting a top 4 rhd, Schneider fills that role.
If someone offered a 1st and a young top 4 rhd for Miller, you’d say no? |

I luv Brock when he’s on his game but he hasn’t adjusted & kept up with Miller. That’s a real concern. He’s not finding shooting lanes like top scorers do. Him & Petey are in that same boat if they aren’t firing away they take themselves outta the game. Both need to be the threats the team needs. - Nighthawk
Brock these days only looks good when he's the 3rd wheel on a line. Miller is being asked to do too much on that line, needs someone to play with him that can gain entry into the offensive zone by carrying it or making good entry passes to a linemate in stride, Petey did that in the past, Brock just isn't that guy. |

Vegas is going to have significant cap issues next year. As of now, they have less than 5 million in Cap Space with all of their LTIR.
Eichel---10Mill
Martinez---5Mill
Paciorety--7Mill
Whitecloud--2.5Mill
Wow that is a lot. Canucks need to take advantage of these scenarios. |

I'd be okay with Miller for Schneider + 1st. I like what I've been reading about Schneider from people who've seen him play.
I don't think Drury will let Schneider go easily though.

They've been rumoured to have been shopping Pacioretty in the past so I wonder if that happens
Reilly Smith's name has come up in the past too |

Brock did look 'kind of' peppy when BB first took over the coaching role but has been a bit stale of late. Something is up too as his skating and 200' game was 'real good' last year and it seems he's taken a step back in the skating dept. Lingering injuries maybe>? |

He's not a bad player, he's just a nice luxury to have if your team is already good, but on this team there aren't enough guys who really can drive play so he's a bad fit here on 5v5
I do think he could be used better on the PP, but Jason King does some weird things. |

Yikes? I think Pouty and Garland play well together. Garland has great puck pursuit, can pass, and can score himself. Pouty can score from any location just has problem getting pucks off opponents or protecting pucks from opponents. Hogs a bit of the third wheel on that line. At least Hogs’ aggressive on the puck, can throw a hit, and does have a decent shot. Has to improve his defensive game. With a bit of time to develop some chemistry, I think it could be a very good line in the future. - bloatedmosquito
Too small and easy to push off the puck imo.
I like petey and garland.
Would also like to see pettersson and hogs develop.
But I’d rather see some size n snarl as the 3rd player on either line.

I am sure there isnt anything that can be done. But with Virtanen getting an actual charge, is there any recourse for the Canucks to remove the cap hit from his buy out since that could be a breach of contract?
I figure that is a No since they did the buy out instead of keeping him suspended but is a bit of an interesting case since it happened while he was under contract. |

Not sure but I see LA still pay Mike Richards and I believe he was arrested for possession.

I think that line has some offensive potential, but yeah that's a line that could get bullied by bigger teams despite Hog's/Garland's willingness to battle. Not a line I like long-term, but for now, sure.
I know Bruce wants Miller at C and 3 lines that can score, but the team is lacking another top 6 player with neutral zone playdriving skills to really be able to run 3 lines like that because Boeser struggles in that area. Which is why the Miller line usually struggles to create anything at 5v5, Miller is forced to be the one who creates |
