Rags fans would scream lol
I rather a player than a pick in the 20’s.

- Nighthawk

I understand what you are saying, but I think most are saying you get a young player, a top prospect and a 1st round pick, that yes, will be somewhere in the 20s.

I would be happy getting either of these guys in the 20s

Sometimes I just have to laugh, new coaching, new management, new player attitudes, new team culture, awesome team record since the change. Nope in here it's trade every player, no matter how well the team plays, no matter the change in attitude, no matter the culture change, no matter the adversity faced with COVID and still playing a aggressive game.

No patience, sometimes I just have to laugh...

Here is the record since the change over in case people need to see it all together to get the scope of how well the team is playing. IMO no need to trade anyone at the moment unless the wheels fall off.

Do you think this team is winning a SC in the next 3 years?

I'm sure the Miller giveaways will stop.

Any player that the new management group thinks can’t help them win AND any player that they can’t get signed to a contract that fits with their plan.

I still don’t like the trade for Miller. I still like Miller as a player. He is exactly the kind of guy they should have acquired in 2011 to replace Raymond on the second line. Imagine Kesler, Miller and Higgins as the second line!

There is at least one team out there that will give Miller 7 x $7m, so if the Canucks are not willing to commit $50m to Miller, they should be looking to trade him before next season starts.

I get it. But I keep reading Kakko or Lafreniere plus plus plus.

It’s going to be more like Sbisa, Bonino and a first than Kakko, Schneider and a first.

I agree, signing him to a seven or eight year extension is a terrible ide, and in all likelihood it will come to a trade, regardless if he wants to be a Canuck or not. Same goes for Horvat. I imagine his market value will be somewhere around $40 million. 6 x $6.5 maybe? Is that a good move for the Canucks?

I don’t know, let’s see what happens over the next few months.

Then you hold onto Miller.
Blake Coleman fetched a decent prospect and a 1st, Barclay Goodrow a 1st and a prospect, I am sure it will be a better return than what you think, but probably not as high as what others think.

Jim Rutherford traded PPG player and two time cup champ Phill the thrill to Arizona for Galchenyuk and a D prospect that has 20 games of NHL experience with the Pens, 4 games this season.

I’m not saying it’s impossible that some good comes out of a trade, but IMO the growing expectation is beyond silly.

I think that as the number of pieces increases, the quality of each piece declines. Remember when Rick Nash was traded (both times)? The requirement was 4 pieces both times. Ryan Spooner was one of those pieces, who the Canucks ended up buying out.

Don’t be greedy, get one great prospect and run.

I agree. Now I’m thinking I want to try and re-sign him. (frank) the timing or the competitive cycle. I’m entertained and like his attitude. Reminds me of the core guys swagger in 2010/11.

You are such a plug! How can you not like the miller trade. It’s goddamn brilliant. The prospect that was drafted is trash and we are about to trade our best player for a mountain of mythical lottery tickets
