For Miller, I'm against trading for picks. The time it takes to get those picks up to the NHL doesn't make sense, it's the same sentiment for trading Miller that the windows don't truly align (though younger players can keep the window open longer)
I'd rather trade for prospects and players, with a 1st thrown in. The likes of Schneider, Chytil, Newhook, Jost, etc... lets you gauge and target more the players that are already likely to make that jump onto the team and have an impact. - NewYorkNuck
I've been saying this too. People are talking about tearing it down and building around Hughes and Demko. Not going to draft all the players needed in one draft... So expect Demko to be 30+ by then and he and Hughes probably would want to move on long before that anyways...
Need prospects ready to step in and make an impact and young players with healthy upside still... that's not easy to stockpile...

What team is going to trade 3 of their best prospects for Miller? |

I think the Canucks making the playoffs is still very possible right now. Obviously that could change by the deadline. If Canucks are trading Miller. They better full tank and get to 8oa so they are picking top 10. Adding a bunch of parts that aren't going to move the team up the standing doesn't make much sense. Just turn into the Flyers now. - manvanfan
I think trading Miller at this TDL hinges on them being in the playoffs. I think if they're knocking at the door, you sit tight and see what the team can do, then trade him in the off-season. The return will be bigger at this TDL, mind you, but I think they owe it to the team (unless someone comes along and offers something they couldn't pass up, clearly). |

Was it?
You must have put a lot of thought into your response.
Did they trade away Provorov, Farabee, konecny, couturier?
Ellis has been hurt all season.
They have a lot of good players on that team.
Carter Hart's .912 and 2.87 gaa isn't all that bad. |

Rangers, Avalanche, Hurricanes... - Marwood
Rangers yes, price will be steep. Avalanche maybe. Jost is young but his value is not high. Hurricanes have parted ways with way too many over past couple years. Buying higher on their 2nd rounders. No thanks.
Van has their own developing players. |

The Rangers have a bunch of top tier. After they trade for Miller, theirs will look like Vans. 😂 |

If he makes the NHL. - Marwood
True. Hmmmmm, then how about…
Michael DiPietro! He’s been developing nicely while not playing on the taxi squad for two seasons.
Will Lockwood! He’s a 23 year old prospect who’s projected to be a bottom six depth forward. Hopefully before he turns 26.
Jack Rathbone! The 22 year old five foot eleven defenceman who struggled with protected minutes under Green. Now that’s something to get excited about.
Aidan McDonough! The 22 year old late draft pick and overage college player who’s comparable is Jonah Gadjovich (another great Canuck prospect… oops).
And lastly, there’s Danila Klimovich! Let’s hope to god that he turns into a star because if he don’t then the cupboards are as bare as… well, as bare as a Canuck prospect pool.

The cupboards are bare, Truscott looks pretty good so far though. Also, McDonough is a ppg this year.
He hasn't had the best year but I do think Jurmo has NHL potential |

If the Canucks were to retain, a 4th asset would have to be involved - Reubenkincade
Depends on the quality of assets. I would take 2 high end prospects over 3 or 4 lower tier. |
