Hey, bud. First, thanks for dropping in and posting, always nice to see someone popping in and joining us. Secondly, I totally feel what you’re putting down, brother. But, you’re dealing with a person with narcissistic personality disorder. Nothing you, or anyone, will say is going to make him any different. I don’t want you lowering yourself to his level; that makes him a winner. And, honestly, you are MUCH better than that…we all are. And believe me, my Scot/Irish blood boils more quickly than probably anyone here. But that’s not we, or more importantly Jeremy, are. I’m not kicking you, brother. Not even close; I’m completely Team Oil/JEREMY’S blog. But we can’t let him drag us down and make a mockery of Jeremy’s hard work and insane level of respect he shows for EVERYONE who drops by.
And, for what it’s worth, I’m 100% in favor of Sven taking over 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Oh, did you guys see that Zadina kid score? How about Smith….who hasn’t thrown hands one bit tonight!!!
Zadina may never “…fill the net with pucks…”, but he seems to have changed his game to be a bit more defensive. May never get 25-30 goals, but he’s a good player. I like the fact that he’s willing to do things to make him more valuable to the team, or fit a need, based his limitations/shortfalls. And let’s face it; the kid’s in the NHL, not too sure any of us on this blog are….just sayen 😁😁😁

No, not at all!!! Please don’t think that’s what I was saying at all!!! Not even close. I just don’t want you (or any of the folks here) to be drug down by someone who thrives on achieving that goal. Sear I wasn’t busting your bullocks!!!! |

Sweet OT shoot-out win!!! Zadina, Smith and Raymond drop the shots! Pickard stood on his head to win that game. DeSmith was really good for Pitt…very impressive.
Really good come-back after the mess in Chiraq. Hopefully the momentum can carry through tomorrow v the Leafs!!
Kids are progressing very well. This team’s much better than predicted. Like to see this progression continue. Gemel Smith is on the TS, like to see him get a game in with his brother, just for S & G!! |

Nice win tonight... Zadina has been getting plenty of chances lately. So it's nice to see him finally bury one. Nice to see a good defensive game and beating a very good team on their home ice. Now if they can win tomorrow against the Leafs that will make a bit of a statement. I saw Pickard in goal and I'm like... WTF am I at a Griffins game ?? He played great and deserved the win.
Loved the retro flashback they did in the broadcast for a couple minutes showing Konstantinov with some of his awesome open-ice hits. |

I reckon Ned needed a head-space check after the Chiraq game....Pickard surprised me tonight, glad to see him step up....
Vladdy was an amazing D-man, brought the heat and hit like a train, was a thing of beauty to see him defend. But, he was also a really good shooter & puck-mover. Losing him was a devastating blow. I gotta tell you, seeing him at the games then receiving the Cup made everyone's eyes leak.....That guy is SUCH an inspiration. Often wonder if the club would consider retiring his number....his short time may not justify it, but his impact on the team was nothing short of incredible. |

I don't think it will ever be retired since he only played six seasons. It is already out of circulation though so nobody will ever wear 16 again. |

Agree on retiring #91. The number sold a lot of Jerseys back in the day and made good money for ownership. Feds could play any position and excel at it. |

Definitely agree... long overdue. Fedorov was an integral part of all those Cup years. His amazing combination of speed / puck control / shooting... etc... was really something to watch.. Along with his stellar 2-way / defensive play. Not sure we'll ever get another natural center of that caliber. |

Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder, according to the DSM-5, exhibit five or more of the following, which are present by early adulthood and across contexts:
A grandiose sense of self-importance
Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
Belief that one is special and can only be understood by or associate with special people or institutions
A need for excessive admiration
A sense of entitlement (to special treatment)
Exploitation of others
A lack of empathy
Envy of others or the belief that one is the object of envy
Arrogant, haughty behavior, or attitudes
Individuals with NPD can be easily stung by criticism or defeat and may react with disdain or anger—but social withdrawal or the false appearance of humility may also follow according to the DSM-5.
A sense of entitlement, disregard for other people, and other aspects of NPD can damage relationships. While a person with NPD may be a high-achiever, the personality disorder can also have a negative impact on performance (due to, for instance, one's sensitivity to criticism).
Researchers have reported associations between NPD and high rates of substance abuse, mood, and anxiety disorders. These may be attributable to characteristics such as impulsivity and the increased experience of shame in people with NPD.
The presence of narcissistic traits in adolescence does not necessarily imply that a person will have NPD as an adult.
It's really ok to ask for help. During these trying times, many people defer to professionals and find that said professional therapies are very beneficial. If you need anything, you've created such a huge bond amongst those on HB that I'm sure any of them would rush to your side to encourage & support you. I wish you the best in your recovery, HockyBuzzed.
