Offer Sean Payton a ton of money to be OC for one year until McCarthy gets fired and he goes and coaches the Cowboys
- sbroads24

First question, did stripes ban everyone? No posts at all last night on the heels of daboll and potentially Dorsey being gone. All while the Sabres have 0 goalies. I know, I know old man and the toker will suit up, but how long will they last. Lol.

Payton might be interesting. I’d like a little more stability. That could be 3 offensive systems in 3 years. Constant change there is never really great. That’s my main reason for wanting to promote Dorsey.

I’m calling my shot… if Dorsey leaves, get ready for Mike Shula. Gotta replenish that panthers well. If you don’t have a certain number of ex panthers in the bills organization, do you even have a football team?!?

Shula's name was around last night as option as was Jordan Palmer, if they can't retain Dorsey.

It's going to be a bad look if Dorsey leaves as it will seem like it's due to Pegula being cheap yet again.

If it's coming to money with Dorsey, what makes you think they would throw that kind of money at Payton
- Buff36

I was being 2% serious. He’s never gonna take the step back to OC

Yeah I don’t want to see Dorsey leave. Especially if it’s Pegs being cheap about it.

It’ll be an interesting off-season.

What bills players do you think daboll takes a run at?

Gotta keep phillips!

I’d like to keep McKenzie.

I never expected Mitch to be more than a 1 year. He will start somewhere next year. Is Fitz a free agent? Does he have a year as a backup in him?

I don’t know enough about botteger or odada (both spelled wrong).

Be surprised if Phillips isn't retained, really don't have much at DT. Of course that could be a draft day get.

The man games lost really seems unreal. I’d love to see a league comparison. Where do the Sabres stack up against other teams.

Where is this coming from?

(and before a certain poster says I'm defending the owners...)

If they're going to have to pay, say a former OC or even a former head coach, the kind of money that an OC makes, why wouldn't they just pay Dorsey (someone who's never been one before)?

The "they're being cheap" angle makes zero sense.

Agree. No basis in the comment. Blurring the Sabres and bills. End of the day. I’d like Dorsey to stay. And it’ll be interesting to see what they do if he leaves.

I'm no Pigoolie fan, but they have not shown to be cheap in any way when it comes to Bills player personnel. PSE is a nightmare, the Sabres admin staff probably blows. But both teams have shown willingness to spend to the cap (Sabres last year) and Brandon has full autonomy to hire whomever he wants and sign whomever he wants.

Found this snippet doing a quick search as I was also curious:

There was a article last night that said NY was throwing a lot of money at Dorsey to leave. That's where it comes from.
