Amazing how that injury just completely derailed his season. He looked like he was finally starting to be able to carry the puck and make plays 5v5. He's a nightmare again. - QuinnFan

Which is really just silly. Those are the two they need to move on from. Perhaps they think they won't be able to compete with their roster, so they're hoping those two will still sell tickets. - SDSabre
I could be wrong, but I thought both had full NMCs. I can see they have some sort of NMC, but can't tell if it's 8 team or more. Thought I'd read it was more. |

Yeah they’re nuts
I don’t have much interest in Dach. He’s looking more and more like a 3rd liner

Oh the one that got away. I so wish they'd resigned him long term, this lineup would look so much better with him playing 1C and taking the pressure off the kids. |

He's better, I just wonder if keeping those assets and throwing money at Kadri or Trochek or even Rakell would be a better option. Those picks, I think, will be needed to get the RHD we need IMO. - QuinnFan
I think a natural goal scorer would be nice next to Krebs
That very well could be Quinn |

At least Levi looks good.
And we know Levi will play hurt which is good because someone has put a curse on the team’s goalies |

I've got the players listed below as contenders for the 13 to 14 roster spots available at forward next season.
This list is solely based on players currently in the organization.
They could artificially keep someone like Peterka down in Rochester again because he wouldn't need to clear waivers.
Jankowski and Murray could be extra forwards, although I like Jankowski as the 4th line Center.
That still leaves 12 forwards for 12 spots.
The updates look to be Bjork and Olofsson from the current roster, not counting the 2 I mentioned as extras.
Peterka could take the place of one of the above.
There's room for a forward upgrade, even with things looking crowded.
2022-2023:
Skinner
Tage
Tuch
Asplund
Cozens
Olofsson
Krebs
Mittelstadt
Bjork
Jankowski
Okposo
Girgensons
Quinn
Peterka
Murray |

Hertl would be a great fit in so many ways for the Sabres, but he's not signing here. |

It's the one saving grace given where the Panthers are in the standings. Know it's been said a few times, but I'm excited to see him at the Olympics. Him and Power together. |

I'm wondering if we can't Taylor Hall one or two. Hertl isn't signing here long term, would he take a $9M to play top line and potentially cash in a year...maybe.
With this much cap space, I think they'll entice someone. I just hope they pay upfront and not long term to do it. |

If they move on from Olofsson, realalisticly that leaves one spot in the top 9, which hopefully is filled by the top 5 pick in the upcoming draft. Personally it doesn't seem worth trading picks or prospects for top 6 forwards, unless it's too good to pass up. But, they should trade whatever it takes to add a long term option at RD, Cernak would be fantastic, and add a quality goalie on a 2 or 3 year deal.

I would look to trade Bjork and Olo.
Alot of similar traits shared on that list while grit is missing, Murray so far isn't the power forward he was sold to be.

VO, Miller, and a cap space move. If it's those fine I guess, they aren't part of the long (or even short term) picture anyways. Both are hurt, and both aren't worth first rounders anyways (at least not VO while hurt). But, if he can make it happen, I'm for it. |

I hope not. He's the swiss army knife type bottom6 forward we need to be keeping a hold of IMO. |
