Is there a happy medium between picking 6 times in the 1st round of this upcoming draft and picking some, spending some? Yes, yes there is. |

What are you looking for then? You say the team needs toughness, who are you looking at and how would you acquire them?

He's a Botterill special and a UFA in 2 years, what would it take to get him a cure for narcolepsy? |

I thought I read you saying what Dell did was fine and this team was soft, could be wrong, I'm not going to back read. I think defined role players are what this team should be looking for in trades while drafting high end talent. Tampa couldnt get over the hump until they filled those roles properly, and spent significantly to do so.

Its almost like teh Sabres could trade 1st rd pick and a prospect and still have two other first rd picks to replace them with but you know

Trading is to expensive for a rebuilding team like us. Especially when we don't exactly know what we have coming through the ranks.
Let the kids come up next year, show what they have and decide from there.
This is year 1 of rebuild #96. Lets do this one right instead of rushing.
Slow and steady wins the race.
If you wanna trade a late 1st for a RD or a goalie sure by all means. If you wanna take on cap dumps for more assets by all means. Other than that stay away from the trades.

Honest question, who you got for rhd, top-9 fwd, and goalie? - Michael Pachla
Honestly open to just about anything
Ethan Bear is a solid player who can’t seem to get legit chance in a top 4 role. He’s an RFA
Cernak would be ideal
I’d look at Chicago for a deal for Debrincat
The Devils need some re-tooling, Jesper Bratt is an RFA, maybe they’d be open to dealing |

Yes. Very much so.
We were on the right track until Pegs wanted to rush things and look where that got us.... Back to another rebuild.

I understand its difficult to see that a late 1st in a draft where the Sabres currently have multiple picks isn't as valuable as the only 1st they will have at that hump. Lets fill the team with garbage until that hump arrives. |
