From a team that used to employ Patrick Kaleta is hilarious.......... - ImThatGuy
Kaleta as dirty as Neil? Whatta reach
One of em had 1 season of above 100 pims and played 9 seasons... the other had 2 seasons without 100+ pims and he played 15 seasons. Chris Neil was as big of scum bag as anyone

What Dell did was okay because Chris Neil once played in the NHL.

It doesn't make it okay, but I didn't see any Ottawa fans demanding Neil be suspended for example.
I don't think the hit was as bad as you guys. I get I'm in the minority there so whatever, but he got three games for it. I find it much less egregious than say Kuch low bridging Sobotka ending his career, skating to the bench and not even getting a hearing out of it. At some point I need to view these plays with the same lenses as the DoPS does ours, no?

No.
Star players drive revenue. The Dell's of the world are hockey peons just there as a body on skates. They're like the lowest rung of society. What they do can and will be deemed egregious, what's done to them by the elite will be ignored or minimized

Why? Because the elite drive revenue. - Michael Pachla
My issue is that I think it's just as much the quality of team as the quality of the player. From Drury to Miller to Dahlin, we've seen elite after elite player get lit up with no repercussion from the league. You can't have it where one team is fair game and one isn't, that's why we played Kaleta in the first place, he was a response.
