McKenzie will be interesting
If Daboll goes to Miami, with their cap room, he’s gonna be a Dolphin
He isn’t getting 1-2 mil after that end of the season, and the Bills can’t pay much more for a #4 WR - sbroads24
The Josh Allen affect may alter contract cap hits for the benefit of the Bills.
This is what good teams get. It's new territory for me. |

Dirty is #5, or #4, whatever. Beasley is probably back, according to Beane. - TheSabresTaco
I disagree about Beasley.
I assume the Bills come back with a significant contract restructure and lower cap hit, he declines and is released. |

That's assuming he's not only tagged, but signs it as well. Which is a definite possibility. Also, Rodgers has an out clause. If he wants out, he's out.
I assure you that I am not out of my element, Donny. - TheSabresTaco
This right here assuredly tells me that you are. You are suggesting that the Packers A) Let a top 5 (probably 3) WR walk for nothing or B) Adams sits out a year, heavily fined, to what? Miss out on another year.
As for Rodgers, sure, if he wants out he will get out. GB also gets to trade him.
As for calling me Donny, you clearly are there was well, as I am clearly Walter here.
I'll eat a shoe if the Packers get "nothing" like you suggested. |

Interesting. I feel pretty good about a restructure, but I think Bease stays. He's had career numbers here and no other team is paying him more than whatever is offered in his restructure. Even if it's restructured, it may not even be a net pay cut.

It's too early to determine what the Packers will get because there are variables involved.
Today, Aaron Rodgers is contractually tied to the Packers for several years and Davonte Adams is until March. If Adams is not tagged, they get nothing. If Rodgers opts out, he's a free agent. Just like Sanders, the Packers have the ability to void the contract.
If other teams are talking to Rodger's agent, knowing he's going to opt out, why the (frank) would they pay to trade for him when they can just wait for him to be a UFA.

Not for guys like McKenzie who right now will probably get the most $ he ever gets
Edit- it’s absolutely true for guys like Sanders who want a shot at a ring or big stats |

He doesn't have an "opt out" clause. He had a guarantee to be traded if he approached management about being traded. He would still have to be traded. Why do you think he can just become a FA. He cannot. 2023 is the voided year.
As for Adams, again, why would they just let him walk? They wouldn't and won't. That would be bad asset management 101 to let a talent like him just walk. You literally talked in a circle about Adams. If he's tagged, he will most likely be traded (agreed) but then question whether GB will tag him and get nothing? How do you rationalize this thought.
As for what they would get, I would bet a lot of money on at least a couple of early selections and a young WR if they were a package deal. |

Honestly, seeing 3 of our goalies injured due to aggressive play by opposing teams, I, for one, am glad to see the Sabres dropping a couple cheapies to send a message. A 3 games well earned IMHO. - Papaduke
I approve this message. A goalie shoving a player's shoulder results in either nothing or a 2 minute interference penalty, unless the guy gets injured sliding into the boards. In that case the NHL and 90% of fans are up in arms and want suspensions for a play that otherwise would barely rate a tv replay. And yet goalies get run consistently, resulting in injuries but rarely does the NHL drop the hammer.
All the while there are literally hundreds of examples of dirty plays and cheap shots by skaters that go unpunished either because no long-term injury occurred, or the perp is a star player. I am so sick of the NHL's inconsistent and random discipline actions.
If Stutzle's cheapie on Cozens results in a knee tear or a concussion from DC slamming into the boards, does the NHL step in? I dunno, but dishing out punishment should be based on the action itself, and not the resulting injury or lack thereof imo. |

I wonder what we do with Cody Ford. Let him ride out his rookie contract or cut him for 1.5M. Cause right now he's a 2.4M backup. |
