How many Sabre goalies have been injured in just the last couple of years from contact? It's great you think everybody knows this unwritten rule, but how many of them don't really give a (frank).
You want to suspend Dell for 3 games for last night's hit, fine. He intentionally moved to interfere with the player. But the only thing I see him guilty of on the Stone hit is not moving. I'm pretty sure that's not a penalty.

This has nothing to do with what Dell did with all the injuries to are goalie's. It just says the Sabres have been a bunch of pussies for years.

Agreed.

This has to be on Adams' checklist of future acquisitions, probably for a bottom 6 / 3rd pairing player. Samuelsson could bring some of it...Pekar might be a guy (his play has certainly tailed off, so in grinder role with attitude if he makes it [ not sure if he is willing to drop them though]). But they need a guy like Maroon, who can contribute and is feared/respected for his williness to drop them when needed.

I like the team toughness concept with a smattering of Maroon-ish guys in the bottom 6 my-own-self.

Edit: had said Peterka's play failed off, meant to say Pekar...corrected for accuracy anove.

I agree, they have to do something because players are already taking liberties on Cozens and Dahlin and such. And I now Cozens will stand up for himself but he's the last guy you want breaking a finger or hand on some lunkheads helmet.

It was more about responding to someone saying "all players avoid contact with goalies at all costs, unwritten code, yada yada." I'm calling bullpoop. That's an ignorant statement. Players run goalies all the time.

Although, with regard to Peterka specifically, while his 1.0 PPG production is great...I would like to see his ratio of G's to A's increase a bit. He's at 8:22 now ... would like to see it get to something like 12:18 ...need more finishers on this team...but love that he can create scoring chances for his linemates too...just a relative nit I realize .. but at the same time I think that needs to be his next step for the overall betterment of the team on the wing

Watched that Hall hit, didn't look like a bad hit. It was Mack's own stick that did the damage.

Maybe you've already commented on this, but I'm too lazy to backread: what are your thoughts on the Stone hit?

I have no problem with that hit, Dell stood his ground. Looked to me Stone thought Dell would move and he didn't

So, now you admit both are, in fact, dirty players. You have, yet again, now come full circle on this argument., and you had to, again, resort to name calling because someone disagreeing with you makes you so vagina hurt.

Did you get bullied every day as a kid, or did your parents send you to loser camp for a couple weeks every summer so they didnt have to hear your sobs every evening? You've got bullied kid written all over you. It's OK. You don't have to hate yourself anymore; those kids won't sodomize you again, but your parents do probably still despise you.

He was running blatant interference for his defenseman who was under pressure from Stone, then extended a bit to make sure he got in the way.

Stone probably thought that Dell would do what most goaltenders would, which is go back to the front of the net.

Dell is going to get trucked by a forward the next time he tries that, and he'll totally deserve it.
