I really wish the people who keep going to games would stop. It’s the only way they’re ever gonna get through ownership while Comcast is running things

I still can’t believe the poop Scott was trying to sell today.

I wonder if this actually tells them anything in the day of television contracts. The 76ers proved during their process years that you don't need fans to turn a profit.

With some of the pictures I've seen of the WFC lately, it seems fans are stopping as we speak. A lot of empty seats.

Not enough honestly. Place still looks packed compared to a Devils or Isles game.

I think the season ticket push will be like those come-ons to get people to buy timeshares or homes in Florida in the old days..give you a supposed three day trip and waterboard you sales pitches for 3 days straight..do not enter the WFC the season tix zombie sales people will be there... or vampires if you prefer

The Undead Flyers fans ( zombie or vampires) walking aimlessly through the corridors, forever doomed to stay there in purgatory by this ownership and front office....

"Let me just add, too. I don’t really see this as being a 3, 4, 5 year rebuild at all. I don’t think Chuck does, either. We have a pretty good core, I think it really starts with a healthy Coots and Hayes, Farabee, we’d love to have Ellis back. We’ve got a core group to build on. I think as we look at the reality of it, two, three pieces we’d be great. Maybe a little more."

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid...

Some accountability for being a bottom 5 team after half a season would be nice.

Oh you can bet they’ll be tossing in Wings season tickets, food vouchers and a reach around from your cable guy to keep people on board.

They’re going to burn a lot of future picks this off-season. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if they back up the truck to whatever team lands the 1st overall. Overpayment city here we come.

See, to me that's the kind of thing that's a giveaway. Why does a guy like Dave Scott, a corporate storage, who probably has a "best practices"chart stuck above his desk, need to say that?

To me it's because they believe that the market will not sustain a 3-year rebuild.

Honesty about painful subjects is difficult for the interviewees.
I think they are in a rational space so I am not offended by their remarks.
If I had the perspicacity to root out all the fudging, it wouldn't fill a Valentine's Day heart.
Many of my fellow posters think the only way out is hara-kiri for the organization.
For me, I just want them to have a healthy team, and THEN hammers may be employed.

I'd keep an open mind on Briere. I was always struck by how honest and intelligent his responses were, quite different from the usual player-speak-cliches that athletes trot out.

Maybe too nice a guy though.

DS and CF said a lot of the right words. I just don't think they're the guys to make the right actions.

Also, sounds like Ellis and Couturier are definitely done for the season.

What would you look for in a combo trade of Konecny and MacEwen?

It makes me sick to see the Flyers lose every night. After this press conference, I actually feel worse. Changes must be made and it should start at upper management. CF has failed as GM. Ed Snider must be spinning in his grave right now.

MacEwen has basically no value. He's a 3 point 4th liner on a bottom 5 team.

Not sure why people keep saying stuff like that about Snider. He was the owner when they were the worst team in the league in 06-07, and the owner during the extremely underwhelming 12-13 and 14-15 seasons.
