IVM is primarily used for humans. Its use as a horse dewormer came later.

It's really, really dumb and also disingenuous as (frank) to refer to IVM as a "horse dewormer" when that's a secondary use for it and not the same thing as what is used for humans.

Broadcasting that it may have efficacy as a prophylaxis and/or treatment is NOT in any way, "bording on criminal". Especially, when there is anecdotal data that was circulating from several different sources that it might be effective.

Stating that Rogan might have gotten someone killed is some serious, unverifiable slander.

For the record, I'm vaxxed and I wouldn't waste my time with IVM unless the clinical trials come back and say that it is effective. But the "horse dewormer" and "dangerous misinformation" narrative per Joe and IVM is (frank)ing hysterical.

The point of calling it horse dewormer is to rhetorically emphasize the stupidity of taking it instead of a vaccine, because it is as stupid as it sounds.

I think that Rogan's rhetoric correlating with infections and deaths in his audience is extremely plausible and would be easily found. He has a deep moral stain on him during this pandemic that has deservedly impacted his reputation and legacy. It's a shame because I liked a lot about his work but his broadcasts during the pandemic have been profoundly misguided at best and unconscionable.

It takes no leap of imagination at all to suppose that one of the most influential public figures on the planet questioning the necessity of vaccines and masking, and telling people he himself took irrelevant drugs as treatment, during one of the deadliest pandemics in history, has lead to deaths that he could have prevented using his platform to inform his audience instead about actual, real best practices.

People were taking the animal dewormer because it was easy to get. Livestock suppliers and vets were complaining that it wasn’t available and the it was the highest cause of calls to poison centres in a bunch of Republican states. The FDA had to issue warnings. People have been very eager to jump in anything that wasn’t coming from the guv’ment.

BTW, Spotify is pulling Neil Young’s music so Joe wasn’t victimized. But I guess I can just listen to Kid Rock
