I simply love this argument.
It's a drug that has demonstrated usefulness in combatting parasitic infections.
Yes, the inventors were honoured with a Nobel prize in 2015.
By the same logic, people with COVID should read the works of Svetlana Alexievich, because she won the Nobel prize for literature in 2015.

Typically I just bring books up on my phone and read them, got used to doing that during lengthy hospital stays so I wouldn’t have to lug books in with me - Dozzer
My daughter is a library nerd - always has four books going.
And it really makes me feel stupid - why am I not borrowing books, for free?
You can reserve them online, they deliver them to your local library (500 meters from my house), read 'em and return them, picking up your next batch. |

also a 1st instead of 1 good young asset
also, I would expect the quality of the young asset to be a bit higher in the deal for chikrun - senstroll
Ya I was being a light on detail. A first and a good young asset were kind of interchangeable.
But I agree. Chcychrun will probably cost a 1st, and two sexier young assets. Those years of control at a good price are priceless. |

And just so you fellas don't think I only attack the lunatic right, I dare you to try to read this without throwing up:
Minnie Mouse is ditching her iconic red dress for a pantsuit
https://nypost.com/2022/0...low&utm_source=NYPTwitter
“Minnie has always had a special place in my heart,” (designer of Minnie's new look Stella) McCartney said. “We share the same values. What I love about Minnie is the fact that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity, and that she inspires people of all ages around the world. Plus, she has such great style!”
“This new take on her signature polka dots makes Minnie Mouse a symbol of progress for a new generation,” she explained. “She will wear it in honor of Women’s History Month in March 2022. I can’t wait for you to see this new look at Walt Disney Studios Park!” |

Correction, they do have a price, but the price is likely very steep.
Just one of those things we say that makes little sense.

If Ivermectin, a harmless and Nobel-honoured drug that treats many different ailments, is "stupid" to take, then why are there multiple clinical studies of its efficacy per COVID happening?
Has blowing a horse also been found to inhibit COVID in vitro too?
Look, it may turn out that IVM is relatively useless as a COVID prophylaxis or treatment, but to call it "stupid" or equate it to primarily a horse deworming drug (as the MSM tried to sell it) is silly.
Frankly, I think what worked for Joe Rogan's treatment are probably two things:
1) He's healthy as (frank)
2) Monoclonal Antibodies -- which apparently is super effective against COVID (but maybe not so much against Omicron?) - mjones242
IVM has shown to be effective in treating Covid.... In people that had worms. It killed the worms that were causing weakened immune systems from the parasite. |

You should call your library - they probably have a program for delivering books to those who have troubles physically getting to a library.

What really burns my chili is they could have easily written something that wouldn't make me puke.
"We've updated Minnie's wardrobe to make her fresh, stylish and modern," said Stella McCartney. "With her new look, Minnie is ready to take on the world, and win a new generation of fans who will love her as much as I did growing up."
Was that so franking hard? I did it in 30 seconds, and I have an IQ of 80.
This is about selling new merchandise. There's nothing wrong with that. No kid wants to buy a replica of Minnie's old dress to wear, but they will be thrilled to buy new crap designed by Stella McCartney.
Why not just say it? |

Not really related but, working at a library might just be the best job there is right now. My friend works there and she says she basically does nothing, because Covid, and makes hella good money to do that nothing. |

There's no evidence the horse dewormer does anything for Covid and it may be harmful. Taking it instead of a very effective, safe vaccine is really, really dumb. Broadcasting that to an audience you have influence over is irresponsiblity bordering on criminal. Rogan has undoubtedly gotten people killed with his influence. He's a disgrace at this point. - Zezel
IVM is primarily used for humans. Its use as a horse dewormer came later.
It's really, really dumb and also disingenuous as (frank) to refer to IVM as a "horse dewormer" when that's a secondary use for it and not the same thing as what is used for humans.
Broadcasting that it may have efficacy as a prophylaxis and/or treatment is NOT in any way, "bording on criminal". Especially, when there is anecdotal data that was circulating from several different sources that it might be effective.
Stating that Rogan might have gotten someone killed is some serious, unverifiable slander.
For the record, I'm vaxxed and I wouldn't waste my time with IVM unless the clinical trials come back and say that it is effective. But the "horse dewormer" and "dangerous misinformation" narrative per Joe and IVM is (frank)ing hysterical. |
