I will say this...there is a bad burrito. I got it at Wholefoods as a lark and it was a vegetarian frozen Amy's Vietnamese Banh Mi burrito. It was (frank)ing nasty. - AdamFrench
if someone says banh mi burrito then it must have fermented pork in it, otherwise i don't want it
You can get a great one for like 120 bucks and it'll do all your business. Only issue is storage space. Those (frank)ers are stupidly big. - AdamFrench
Legit, if I want an air fryer, I'll sell my current stove and buy a new one that has a built in air fryer.
If I'm going to get a standalone fryer might as well get a deep fryer.
I guess neither really are comparables. I get what you were trying to say. In 1992 Wells went 14 and 7 despite an ERA of 5.40. It certainly helped the cause that Timlin, Ward and Henke were in the pen, but with that offense, it was a little like Grant Fuhr's high GAA and high win total due to Oilers offense pounding the crap out of the opposition. - winsix

Well la di da.
Seriously are those air fryers legit. I hear mixed reports. - Zezel
It's fantastic for things like frozen french fries, chicken fingers - anything that you want crispy, but that normally sucks in the microwave (rubbery) or in the oven (soggy from its own sweat).
I haven't gotten into anything too fancy yet, but people do steaks, cheesecakes - basically anything. There's a New York Times story about them right now.

Glad we have a GM that can actually see stuff like that. - senstroll
You mean that GM that has thrown around first rounders like candy, has only a couple picks in the upcoming draft, is right up against the cap, bungled contract negotiations, has a very marginal prospect pool and zero playoff round wins?

I do Salmon, Haddock, Pork, Potatoes, Cauliflower, Chicken Thighs, Drumsticks, Wings, roasted harvest veggies and so on . . . in the air fryer. It's exactly as you say - if you want a nice crisp on the outside, it's great for it. You can also use less oil in doing so, so it does lower the fat and calorie content of some of this stuff. It's absolutely not the same as a deep fryer - like you do a chicken kiev in a deep fryer and a chicken kiev in an air fryer and it's distinctly better in the deep fryer. But if you're old and overweight like that dippoop who looks back at me from the mirror, the air fryer is a better option for most things.

Stieb was also 34 at the time, and had dealt with injuries that season - PatC80
As I recall, they let him hang around for the World Series, because he meant so much to the franchise, but I don't think he stepped on the field prior to post-game celebrations.

Leafs Nation clings to this bizarre idea that we have drafted well over the past few years. It's franking bizarre.
Dubas was hired by MLSEL in July 2014, so let's evaluate what has gone on from the 2015 draft onwards.
2015: You don't get credit for drafting Marner. Anyone in the top 10 would be a great pick (except Strome). Hell, it was one of the greatest drafts of all time, which makes it all the more stupid that we traded down. We could have had Konecny, or Beauvillier, but instead we moved to the 2nd round and got Dermott and Bracco. Dermott is a burrito filled with Meh, and I think Bracco filled my car with gas this morning (it was too cold to do self-serve). Nobody else in 2015 is worth mentioning, with only Timashov ever playing in the NHL.
2016: You don't get credit for drafting Matthews. 31st overall was Korshkov - a criminally stupid pick. Why the hell are you picking an overager so high? Everyone else selected sucked.
2017: Lilgegren. It was a weak draft, so this is neither a good nor bad pick. Nobody else has played a game in the NHL.
2018: Sandin was an OK pick. Everything else was crap. Only Durzi has played in the NHL.
2019: Nick Robertson. Leafs Nation over-rates him.
I won't do 2020 and 2021 because it is obviously too early, but can we please stop with this narrative that we draft well and have an amazaballz prospect pool?
We have three elite players from tanking, we signed some free agents (for which I give them credit), and Dubas has also done a fantastic job of filling holes on the cheap.
But our drafting and player development still sucks ass - like it has for 50 years. - Atomic Wedgie
Agreed, you dont get credit for Matthews, he was a gimme that the leafs were FINALLY fortunate enough to win.
Its like the Oilers taking credit for drafting McDavid, he was the number 1 pick by several kms.

Are we back to hating Dubas for some weird reason?
Every good team is right up against the cap.
These are the teams who should compete for the Stanley Cup this year: Tampa, Florida, Colorado, Toronto and Carolina with outside shots to Vegas and maybe Pittsburgh.
Since 2015, Florida hasn't won a round.
Colorado hasn't made it out of their division.
Carolina has been to the conference finals once.
Vegas has already lost in every round of the playoffs, which is pretty impressive.
Pittsburgh hasn't made it out of the first round since 2018.
. . . and Tampa has won the cup twice.
There are other really, really good teams that are losing as well and just like ours, their GMs are doing a good job, too.

Looking at it from an optimist view with the same ridiculous mindset, I chose to not only use the Leafs draft history from the past 5 years, but to also add random made up 1st round picks to the draft pool to evaluate Dubas's drafting.
Zargus Nofenhymer- a late 1st round pick who won the calder last year with 97 points and 457 hits. - Santo_44
