He was an insurance policy that just isn't needed. I did get the signing and thought process that went into it but he has been surpassed on the depth chart mostly because is not that good.

Look, I'm half joking. It's actually quite believable because NYC is a cesspool. It's more of a kneejerk reaction to your account of a night where the goal is to promote that "hockey is for all". I'm probably one of the least PC or "woke" people on here and I found part of the night to be a little over the top myself. That being said, they do it once a year to try and reach out to a marginalized group. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Is it the best place to try and explain the nuances and meaning of the night? Not at all. But it's a conversation that needs to be had at some point where the emphasis isn't on the fact that some people partake in cross dressing.
