No surprise, hes a guy I was mentioning before as someone Id love to have on the 3rd line, but zero shot that the Pens trade him... and especially not to us.
Lets say the bidding war for JT Miller gets a little out of hand and we decide to not go that route. Should we maybe instead go for Horvat? Scoring wise numbers are lower but paired with Panarin and Strome I have a hard time believing he doesnt get a huge uptick in points. However defensively and on faceoffs hes solid all around the ice... and hes 2 years younger... and like Miller, has 2 years left on a friendly deal that if we can get retention on would be wonderful.

Vancouver is a wild card, no GM, nobody knows if Rutherford will make any huge deals on his own or wait till he hires a new GM and let him decide the direction of the club. Since there is less than 2 months to the trade deadline, who knows.

Yea theyre hiring Patrick Allvin who was with Rutherford in Pittsburgh, was with the team for the last 16 seasons.
