I would agree that Bill has struggled a bit here this season. The fans are not to blame for the condition of this team right now and they are right to second guess every single move. We do pay their salaries of course. - Joe Nardone
I don’t care about the salaries, but it’s clear the relationship with the team, and its longtime fans has been damaged.
He isn’t the only one, as the youngster in O’Connor does something similar when people press the media to make the team more accountable.
I’d appreciate more tact, and maybe having having the gall to take the team to task in the same way instead of fans of this team. |

I still don’t think he gets the opp at the deadline. I think he is out by next week. |

He won’t dare to criticize the country club. The alumni. As they got him his position.
Instead out to personally attack fans of the team? As a partial employee of said franchise?
Bootlicker. I expected better. Is it perhaps because not as many people buy the propaganda that this team tries to shovel its fanbase? - FlyerFan3260

Our biggest issue right now is scoring goals, but everyone wants to whine about RR

Not a chance imo.
Only way it happens is if Scott gets a message from above him to clean house. Otherwise Fletcher has already stated his case with injuries and the like to return. Scott will confer with his confidants and buy right into it is my guess.

They're dead last in the league in high danger chances allowed per.

No, it's that people react irrationally when confronted with facts that directly lay bare their firmly held beliefs.
Your reaction is an example.

Hope springs eternal but I think our ownership/leadership is locked in. Maybe we should change the team name to the groundlings for the foreseeable future. |

Nope, you can only complain about one specific problem in a vacuum. Beat that problem to death. And then you can bring up something else related or not.

Probably not.

I don't think anyone is discounting that we are offensively challenged right now. Given that isnt it even more imperative to play solid first period D and not go down by the first goal?
I don't dump on Risto on the regular but that mistake was very costly when the team can least afford another kick in the confidence.

You know whoever looks after the skates is doing a good job this year. I dont see alot of skate or goalie equipment issues. He/she should keep up the good work

The Flyers Alumni are a completely separate matter. They are the gold standard of NHL Alumni Associations. There's nothing there to criticize.
Secondly, I criticize the current team when and where I feel it's merited. In a factual way, without hyperbole or personal attacks. I sleep quite well at night.
Pavel and I have gone back and forth for years, BTW. It's actually nothing personal. |

that's the point. earlier in the year people were bashing atkinson and talking about jake. weird how that stopped now that cam has more points. Risto is what he is. Not perfect...no. But the battling and physicality he brings imo is needed. Now the argument IMO should be....if we are gonna do another rebuild is it necessary to keep him? But if that's the convo then we need to have it about all the players as well. People whining over what we gave up to get him is not on the player. He has brought what I thought he would. Under those circumstances i can see him being moved. and will imagine there will be a bunch of contending teams interested if we do make him available. No they do not know it all, but the other night on NHL network they were speaking about how his stock has gone up since he came to philly. whether it is agreed upon or disagreed doesn't matter. none of us know what the gm's are thinking.

Agreed! Kudos to the sharpener operator!
Did anyone notice the Xfinity logo floating in midair over the game for a short period of time? I think it was supposed to be the one projected on the glass behind the net. They cant even get that right. |

Nothing to criticize? How about members of the Flyers front office/operation staff having taken advantage of Snider’s family approach to the team. Care to explain why certain members seem to have jobs/influence for many years when they should have been fired long ago? We both know which names I am talking about.
I also don’t understand the displeasure at a fan that dares to be critical of them Bill.
The Brendl reference is a not so veiled shot, when valid points were made. It’s not the first time members of the media have taken issue with fans questioning things this season.
It’s a strategy that’s quite amusing for a team that should be very careful about losing more viewership. |
