It's hard for goalies when they aren't facing shots.

Anybody see the replay of Dell's hit on Batherson tonight? Total Dbag move and TSN just showed he has a history of that same thing, got Mark Stone and someone else with the same hit.

It's dirty as hell. Interference in a very vulnerable spot.

Didn't even get 2 for interference, but Batherson is hurt so I assume he'll get a few games off for it.

Well, Josh Yohe didn't call out the chemistry, but he blames Malkin for the fact they had three games where they let up 40+ shots.

If you get taken down by a goalie like that you deserve to get hurt.

Here's the thing, at least to my eyes, since right around when he got back I think I've seen more lackluster overall not in sync team play periods than good ones, when before I think I was seeing more great periods than not. However, they are still winning and he is producing, so it doesn't matter as much. None of this is to say I dont think they will get back to how they were in November and December. Geno looked like he was shot out of a canon his first game back but I can see his conditioning isn't where a lot of teammates are right now the past handful of games, which is to be expected. This will get better as more games are played. Last night looked more like the Pens did a month ago...albeit against the lowly Coyotes.

Geno came back in the middle of a 6 game/8 night road trip and the last two games of that trip is where they started to look off and then come home to a back2back with only two days off in between. This team has been experiencing exhaustion. It just happens to coincide with Geno coming back.

Their schedule has been brutal, but it’s also about to get brutal for everyone.

Yeah, I was going to put an edit that there are definitely other factors at play but my phone rang and I am now just returning haha.

Having half a squad full of guys trying like hell to stay in the nhl is going to look a lot different, and not necessarily in a bad way.
