I don't disagree. I thought we definitely should have kept him, but there was something about his game Sully wasn't interested in, at least his TOI would have suggested that.

On a hunch I looked up McCann's PK time and it dropped significantly from 19/20 to 20/21, so that explains the drop in TOI.

Yah, but without a commensurate raise in ice time in other areas it's still not a good look. Like when Rust was removed from PK duties he was given more ice time at 5v5 and additional PP time.

6 of erods 15 goals were while filling in on pp1 too. Losing that is almost half his total gone right there.

Recovery time long enough that Pens just got 5.5 mill in cap space for this season and perhaps Zucks is back for playoffs?... Or will he be back sooner...


EDIT: both DeSmith and Sid were given 6 to 8 week recovery times for that surgery.. So there most likely goes that idea...
