I'm far more outraged David Ortiz is in the HoF and in on a 1st ballot nonetheless. Outrageous - lacaprup
David Ortiz has a horse-face, zebra legs, and doesn't own any Canadian real estate.

On top of that, he can't go back to the DR without armed security. |

Again, i think her mom is hot. Im fairly enamored of Celestial features. Shes no Geisha. - lacaprup
She looks like more her dad? Idk, don’t really see a horse face, or any extreme unattractiveness. I don’t think her mom is all that, either.

Edgar Martinez retired in 2004. Didn't get in till 2019.
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens both better than Ortiz by orders of magnitude
Curt Schilling, not a cheater. Best postseason pitcher since Bob Gibson.
The minority of baseball writers (we have to remember MOST voters get this right) who conduct this farce every year should lose their vote.
These three no-brainer HoFers are all way better HoF cases than Ortiz, who just got a 1st ballot HoF. In the case of Edgar Martinez the greatest designated hitter of all time had to wait for 11 ballots. |

They like the lovable big papi Ortiz.

The sportscenter commercials put him over the top on most ballots.

Martinez is a special case because he didn't play the field. Agree with it or not, a real good argument could be made that someone that didn't play the field shouldn't be in the HOF.
I think with Schilling his post-baseball life has gotten in the way, which it shouldn't. |

Wasn't Bonds because of steroids?
Thought that was the only reason he didn't get in? |

Both bonds and Clemens. My point in bringing them up is David Ortiz failed a steroid drug test, which, incidentally, he knew the date he was taking it. You have to be quite an addict to fail a test like that.

And I forgot to add Manny ramirez who was on the hall of fame ballot this year and didn't get in. He was also a hitter of a far higher caliber than David Ortiz ever was. |

They should let Clements, Bonds and all the roid heads in. I bet 75% or more of all baseball players back then where juicing.

oh me neither. MLB was coming out of a lock out and need to get fans back quickly and turned a blind eye to it all. Anyone with eyes could see that Bonds hat size went from 7-1/4 to giant beach ball.

Well, no one should go to the DR without armed security; it's barely half a step ahead of Haiti who just had their president whacked by a group of CIA trained paramilitaries. |
