I would be fine with playoff OT being as follows, without any made-up, artificial complications:
The game does not end until the time clock reads 0:00, and one team has a lead. If that means you have to play 10 quarters one day, go to bed, and then play more tomorrow... so be it.

Ties are fine in the regular season. Far too much risk of injury to prolong regular season games.

Sabres are +160 tonight. Vegas gives us no respect.

If the OT rules in the playoffs were each team's offense gets a possession, and then it's sudden death, and the Bills scored a TD on the drive after KC did in OT, they'd have to go for 2 to try and end the game there, right?

In terms of not investing much more into defense, I'm actually fine with re-signing Edmunds as long as they realize who he is, and who he isn't, and then paying him as such. He has his weaknesses, but his size and mobility do cause teams to gameplan around him, which can be big. If he is willing to take a deal similar to what Milano did last year, and I realize it's a big if, it might be best to go with the devil you know.

The thing with Leslie is, is he man enough to admit what he did wrong and learn from it? He is a good coach; he gets a ton out of his players. He knows he (frank)ed up the end of that game. I believe he can be a better DC from it.
