Now do targets for everyone on that list
- Wetbandit1

Unless Knox only had 20 targets, his FOUR drops this season aren’t a big deal

Knox
Targets 71, drops 4
Percentage 5.6

Chase
Targets 128, drops 9
Percentage 7.0

K.Allen
Targets 157, drops 9
Percentage 5.7

The percentage of Knox’s drops…. even per target….
is NOT outrageous by any means

Anyone else think it’s possible (not likely) that they move on from Diggs after next year?

He’s awesome, but Allen just had the game of his life with him being a non-factor

He’s got a year left I believe.

- sbroads24

diggs was double teamed on almost every play, hence the reason why davis was open

Kelce
Targets 134, drops 7

Knox isn't to far off of the best TE in football

Yeah, i just started at the top of the list
Wasn’t gonna type it out for everyone

The inarguable point is:
4 drops by Knox wasn’t a big deal

For the record:

I’m not saying Knox is the best TE in football
Obviously there’s guys with better numbers than him

But that still doesn’t make Knox’s 4 drops a big deal

For anyone who would like an artistic interpretation of the Sabres last decade, "Waiting for Godot" is currently being staged by the Irish Classical Theater Company. Best live theater this side of the Shaw Fesitval. If you have any Irish blood or grew up in S Buffalo like me, you'll love a lot of their stuff.

Hint for Sabre fans... Godot never gets there.

Ok, cool, I just didn't want to do the work, I knew he got way, way fewer targets than the other guys

Good call

The Irish know a thing or two about writing a bleak play. The character "Jimmy Tomorrow" from The Iceman Cometh by Eugene O'Neill comes to mind

"the leader of our Tomorrow Movement"

I dont know if they still do it, but ICTC used to do Joyce's "The Dead" every year. A true Irish Wake. No one but no one wakes the dead like the Irish.

But again…. his 4 drops were nothing outrageous
They really weren’t a problem at all

It's on my list to see. Before I turned hermit, I enjoyed live theater. One of the dumbest damn things I've done was pass up seeing Denzel in Othello to see The Producers (Richard Kind and Alan Ruck).

Not that the Producers on Broadway wasn't great, but little did I know Denzel was going to become a great Shakespearian actor.

Interesting idea that will never happen:

Reverse ROR trade with St. Louis

Colton Parayko

Fla/Vgs first (St L first)
Johnson (Thompson)
something else to fill in the rest

He's struggling, and has for a bit, but could rebound if not asked to do a lot with Dahlin and Power.

Contract could turn real ugly real quick though.

My thought was instead of sending an additional second, just give a lower tier prospect, someone who's probably not going to move the needle. A Cliff Pu type, who always sounded like he could turn into something, but the chance was slim. Without this, no need to send the second and salary players that St Louis doesn't want.

Interesting you mentioned him, there's an article out about how he's started to turn it around a bit with Mikkola as a partner. Earlier in the year he was paired with Scandella and they were #1 and #2 in turnovers. Now that's dropped and his numbers have improved markedly...still some issues, but better.

My issue is the foot speed. Gigantic dmen have their pros, but the one thing him, Power, Samuelsson and any other 6'5 guy on skates is going to run into, they aren't the best skaters. I worry that's too many big men on the back line. Ultimately though, he's righty, he is serviceable when paired with a decent puck mover and we'd be smart to get a better righty before next seaon. I'm split, it's a little bit like reacquiring Risto...not as bad, but that's why I'm leary.

Yeah, just saw on CF some St. Louis fans wanting his head. Last night was particularly brutal for him I guess. Like I said, won't happen, and agree with what you said.

Interesting idea
But he turns 29 this summer, and has an 8yr extension that starts next season

I’d pass

Back to old ways then haha. Oh well, get em cheap!

Still wonder if we're picking around 5, if Nemec doesn't fit better. He's going to be special.
