Shelve him for the season if need be. Not going anywhere this year. Hopefully Schmid shows some signs of being able to at least be an NHL backup next year, not very optimistic we see Bernier again.

Yep agreed. This shouldve happened a month or so ago. Its actually ridiculous that they knew he wasnt 100% going back to training camp and still continued to give him the bulk of the workload, and then doubled down on the workload once Bernier went down. Its not like he was lights out either so you just continue to ride him. He was struggling all the way through. Thats honestly unacceptable.
